"Grace, this wait has been so bitter, especially when I can't see you. It's a pain that cuts deep," he said, his voice filled with a sorrow I could fully comprehend.

I hesitated, then raised my hand and clutched his back, finally hugging him. "Colin, promise me that no matter what choices we make in the future, you won't leave me. I'm selfish. I need you to fight alongside me."

Colin chuckled and gently pushed me back, bending down to look me in the eye. "You're quite the little rascal. You won't choose me as your husband, but you won't let me leave either? That's pretty domineering. What gives you the right?"

He pinched my nose playfully. "Alright! I promise you, even if you don't choose me, I won't leave you. I'll endure the pain of unrequited love forever, you tyrant!"

His words made me relax, and I threw myself into his arms with a sense of relief. "I knew you'd agree. Say what you want, but you can't take it back!"
