Oblivious to the chaos that erupted around me. The zealous fans, devoid of reason and oblivious to the circumstances, neither sought clarity nor regarded the truth, plunging the scene into immediate disorder.
The windows of the hospital room were shattered, the door battered open, as they hurled eggs, rotten vegetables, and spoiled seafood at me in a frenzied assault. The room was rendered a harrowing sight, reeking unbearably, a complete shambles, filthier than a public garbage dump outside.
The situation spiraled out of control. Colin shielded me, his face and head smeared with the foul eggs, the yolk streaming down in a viscous yellow mess. The hospital had to call the police who, upon arrival, arrested the instigators, dispersed the crowd, and thus the dreadful farce came to an end.
