C55: Arrows Facing A Cloud Of Dust

"That's not a problem, that's an advantage for us, Henor," Ken said, grinning.

"How?" The frail-looking goblin asked in confusion.

"Look at your quiver, Henor. We don't have more than a hundred arrows combined. Let's say enemies attack us from all four directions. Who will bear the brunt of the attacks?"

"Those teams that took up the most distant sentry towers will have to deal with enemies before the rest of us, yeah. But that's what I've been saying!" Henor said.

"Yes. The first wave of defence will be their towers. But how long do you think they can hold on? They all have a few dozen arrows each. Their swordsmen can't just keep killing enemies on the ground. The towers behind them would be busy with enemies that had snuck past them, or enemies that came from the directions with unoccupied sentry towers. So they won't receive any help if the number of enemies exceeds their limit!"
