Chapter Twenty Five. *

" YES!!Yes, yes, yes.."

I took him down chair and all. We landed hard but, I never heard a more sweeter sound than his laughter.

Our family and friends erupted into loud cheers.

We kissed so hard it hurt my lips. Whether it was his blood or mine I tasted, it didn't matter. For me it ..it tasted like true happiness.

I was happy because, I wanted to become closer to him..and it turned out he had the perfect plan already in mind.

I was so over the moons, I was ready to take him then and there.

Ilianna jumped on us pulling my mood out under me like a rug, and reminded me that we were in a room full of people, including our five year old.

She looked happy and hugged us both. She might not fully understand what is happening but, seeing us this fired up automatically made her too.

We got up and accepted their congratulations. I was hugged by all three, my mom, granny and Eli. Their tears brought out my own.

" Congratulations sis."

" You're, one step closer now sweetheart."

" Now we start preparing for winter little one."

Lizzy and Demelza soon joined in on it.

Giving me their best smiles and wishes. I looked behind and saw Zephyr in a group hug as well, buried by Alexander, Lucian and even Norman. Ilianna held little Arnold by his hand sitting on top of the table.

Zephyr looked right at me. I made a point to remember his smile from today. I wanted to take him to Demelza house, to start our own celebration first...but I got dragged away by the ladies.

We did end up in Demelza house..not exactly what I wanted.

They brought some wine over and all the clothes we bought from Malai. We spent hours just drinking and choosing amongst them.

This time, I paid attention to their advice about first nights. Such gemstones like..

" Avoid onions tonight and anything with garlic."

" Make sure, use your voice sweetheart if you feel uncomfortable or ..hurt. Then speak up."

" Sis, I suggest to make sure not to drink to much..you don't want to barf at the..wrong moment.

" Forget everything they said..just make sure to enjoy it. My bet is that Zephyr.. might be quite..blessed."

Their loud giggles were probably heard by the hole village.

My sister came and brought a flower crown made by some of the girls and her. It was beautiful.

I thanked her for the crown and chose my outfit accordingly.

We're soon joined by more women who heard about the news and came over with their own best wishes and more advices.

I wonder if Zephyr suffers through such a nuisance. Thinking the man near him..my guess is that it might be much worse.

By the time we all left Demelza house, the air has cooled down quite a bit. I saw everyone heading towards the main hall. All shouting their congratulations from afar.

I was getting closer and felt my legs more unsure with each step. I see him all the time but, now I was nervous like never before.

We walked in the already celebrating crowds. They all come over and thrown handful of leaves at me. It was a silly tradition reserved for those getting engaged before the festival.

Soon I couldn't see from the fists full of them.

I was spinning, courtesy of the ladies around me. There was pleasant singing in the back ground and I finally saw him.

He was standing near Alexander.

He had black pants and his boots on. With a white shirt his necklace shown outside of it. He looked incredibly desirable.

I closed the distance in a few step and he lifted me up without missing a beat. He slowly let me down and kissed me with a passion, once we faced each other. With people around us cheering, our engagement party began.

He sat down and I took my place on his lap. We received the people for more good wishes, it was lovely. I felt pretty warm inside and accepted my last glass of wine of the night.

My sister advice might have been the most useful..I also stayed away from onions.

Ilianna sitting on the table front us in a dress for a change and with a similar just smaller flower crown like mine. She looked pleased with all the attention and compliments she received.

" A TOAST..!!"

Alexander gathered peoples attention and raised his glass of ale.

" Lylly, I remember the first time you brought Zephyr around. I took one look and thought..yeah..I'm gonna slice him up!!"

We laughed with the rest of the people.

"..as some of you might know, I ended on my back flat..and bleeding. " - walked closer to Zephyr and looked quite emotional. " Little brother..I knew then and there you were something special.

But I never knew just how special. I'm happy for you and your young fiancee." - he turned back the full hall with a happy smile. " Please all raise a glass with me..to you two, once again.

Congratulations to Zephyr and Lylly. CHEERS!"

He walked up and give a short kiss to me on the cheeks and a long hug to his brother. After that things really took off.

The celebration went on for hours.

I broke the one rule I had and ended up quite drunk.

I kept looking at Zephyr talking to his students happy and all so handsome. He had a few drinks himself, some with me but one would never tell just by looking. He seemed sure footed, confident and charming as ever.

" Sis you over done it. Can you even..are you gonna be okay?"

I looked at Eleanor. She didn't drink and looked concerned.

Even granny was slushed and telling stories about her youth to a bunch of girls Eli's age somewhere of the hall.

I wanted my little sister to enjoy herself. With everything on the horizon..I wanted her to remain my strange level headed little Eleanor.

" I never been better Eli. Now come.." - I put down my glass. " Let's get some air."

I lead her outside and before anything else. I dunked my head into the water barrel..

Ahhahaha..

That's better, my face cooled immediately. I let the water drippin of my face and giggled because I wanted drink some but kept missing them.

" For Ehlite..look at you. Lylly.." - felt a hand on my back for support.

" I'm okay, I'm okay..I just needed to wake up a little. I'm better now, I promise." - I whipped my hair behind and squeezed the rest of the water out. " Don't tell Zephyr you saw me doing this."

I put my arms around her and looked at the moons.

One large with incredible presence..just like my Zephyr. The other, right behind it watching over its light, protecting him from the shadows. I take that role happily.

I look after him from the shadows and make sure he shines brightly.

" Eleanor..in the future a lot of things will most likely be different. But you and me.." I squeezed her harder. " Let's stay, who we are now. Promise?"

" Don't be silly.. we always be the same..your my sister. The world around us may change but, we don't have to go along with it."

" Right..you are right."

Looking back at the twin moons, I wondered how much, is actually going to be our choice.
