Paying the police a visit

"The sergeant asked to see you. He said he wanted to personally come to you but got preoccupied with something urgently." The policeman reported without leaving a tiny fraction of what he was told.

_Oh! It seems he can't wait any longer._ Yebou thought. From his first meeting with the sergeant, the sergeant asked him to join the police force.

However, due to the assassination attempt, they were not able to come to an agreement.

Since the case had been resolved, he wasn't surprised the sergeant would call for him immediately.

After all, who wouldn't like to have someone who is likely to become powerful and influential in the future join his wings in his developing stages?

"Okay. Give me a second." Yebou replied as he went back into the room.

A few seconds later, he came out of the room after changing into a new set of clothes.

"Let's go." He said to the policeman.

Subsequently, they left the house and headed towards the direction leading to the police station. However, in the middle of the road, Yebou changed his direction.

"Sir, please, you are going the wrong way." The policeman said immediately when he saw Yebou taking a different route.

_How could he not know the road to the station?_ The policeman thought speechlessly. Someone who even the sergeant places heavy emphasis on doesn't seem to even know the road that leads to the police station.

Could it be that he had visited the wrong person? However, after thinking carefully about the location he was given, he was sure he wasn't mistaken.

If so, who could explain what was happening right before his eyes?

"Sorry, I didn't inform you beforehand. There's this place I need to visit before going to the police station." Yebou said, embarrassed.

"It won't take long. I promise." Yebou said after seeing the confused look on the policeman's face.

"Alright." The policeman nodded his head. When he remembered what the sergeant told him before coming, he knew he had no choice. What if his disagreement would make the other party displeased? Perhaps, even infuriated.

"Thanks." Getting a nod from the policeman, Yebou thanked him.

Subsequently, Yebou, along with the policeman, made their way to Aunty Akosua's house.

Lizzy had no idea her brother left the house and only arrived late in the night. She was so tired that she immediately fell asleep the moment she arrived home.

When she woke up in the morning, she saw her brother still sleeping. She thought he was too exhausted. Hence, she left him be and left the house and came to Grandma Akosua and Joe's house.

After checking up on her sister and realizing that she was safe, Yebou then headed to the police station along with the policeman.

Oframasi, Police Station

Outside the police station, people could be seen moving in and out of the building. All sorts of emotions could be seen on their faces.

Some were coming out of the building with smiles all over their faces, others too with curses and swears while some too were anxiously making their way into the building.

Currently, the police station could be said to be the most bustling place in the entire village second to only the market square which only operates on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Inside one of the rooms within the building, Sergeant Quaye could be seen conversing with one of his subordinates, Lance Corporal Barrack.

"Sergeant, I suggest you allow me to show him just a little bit of what we are capable of. How dare he look arrogant before us." Lance Corporal Barrack said looking extremely infuriated.
