Summoning the future star

The nonchalant behavior displayed by the Assassin truly infuriated LC Barrack. Being disregarded by a criminal made him feel nauseous.

He had the urge to slap him to death, but remembering the severity of the matter, he suppressed the urge.

Since it involves an assassination attempt and not only but an attempt to assassinate a sergeant, the headquarters was keeping a close eye on the case. Therefore, he would not be able to use any underhanded means but to observe protocol.

"Hmph! Do you think you can threaten me with just those words? Don't chew what you can't swallow, Mr. Policeman!" Mr. Joe replied, behaving as if he hadn't heard a word the Corporal said.

"Bang! Hahah! Alright, let's see then. After I'm done with you, you'll know who calls the shots here!" The infuriated Lance Corporal spat out as he walks out of the room.

"But!" However, before he could walk out of the door, the assassin said something that made him halt his steps.

Turning around and glaring at the assassin, he questioned angrily, "But what?"

"I will only speak in the presence of the guy who took me out, I mean the kid. Anyone other than him, and I'll keep my mouth shut." Mr. Joe said, and after that, he closed his eyes.

....

Oframasi, Yebou's home

"Knock! Knock! Knock! Agoo!! Is anyone at home? Loud knocking sounds could be heard as someone kept knocking on a door.

"Oooh! Who's that? Yebou grumbled in dissatisfaction when he heard the heavy knock on his door. Yesterday's event had truly tired him out.

It could be seen just from the fact that he had yet to wake up even though it was getting to 10:30 am.

Grabbing his shirt, he stepped out of the bed and approached the door in dissatisfaction.

Opening the door, he was stunned when he saw the person standing in front of him.

"Oh, so It's Mr. Policeman, may I know your reason for paying me a visit this early morning?" Yebou asked when he saw that it was one of Sergeant Quaye's men.

His initial dissatisfaction dissipated but not completely.

_Early morning?_ The policeman thought confused when he heard those words from Yebou.

It was currently quarter past 10, so how could this be termed as early morning?

Thinking carefully over the matter, he soon got the hidden message under those words. Immediately, he went down on his knees and apologized.

"Sir, please forgive me! I'm I'm the wrong. Please pardon me."

Before coming here, he had been specifically instructed by the sergeant to be respectful and not to offend the person he was to meet in any way as he wouldn't be able to bear the consequences should he make the person displeased.

However, he had never thought that he would simply make the other person displeased just from the way he would knock on his door.

"It's alright! Get up!" Yebou said after seeing how humble the policeman was behaving. He couldn't bring himself to keep the man kneeling.

"Thank you! Thank you!" As if a heavy burden had been lifted upon his shoulders, the policeman heaved a big sigh of relief, wiped the sweat on his forehead, and thanked Yebou severally. He would have been truly doomed should Yebou have taken the matter at heart.

"Right! May I know the reason for your visit?" Yebou wasted no time as he immediately went straight to the point.

He wanted to pass by Grandma Akosua's house to see if his sister was there. What happened Yesterday had truly made him concerned about his family's safety.
