No motive behind the assassination

Oframasi, Sergeant Quaye's office

.....

_How impressive!_ Inspector Kodua exclaimed after scrutinizing the office's interior. He had to acknowledge that it was well-kept than most of the offices in the cities. From the decorations, arrangement of sets, and even the air fragrance, everything in the office was impressive even though they were not the most expensive of things.

His impression of Sergeant Quaye improved considerably. First, it was how he responded to Sergeant Robert's provocative words, and now he has witnessed another impressive trait he possesses, thus his meticulous way of doing things.

LC Jude was also amazed after inspecting the office. He even had the view that the office was comparable to most if not all the offices in the headquarters in terms of its arrangement of equipment and cleanliness.

_Instead of him working hard to get promoted, see the stuff he is now into. Truly pathetic! It was only Sergeant Robert who had another thought in mind. To him, Sergeant Quaye had already accepted his fate of rotting in this backward village.

After guiding Inspector Kodua and his team into his office, Sergeant Quaye offered them a cup of coffee and immediately introduced himself.

"I am Sergeant Quaye, the commander of the Oframasi Police Unit. May I know your identity and your reason for your coming?"

Even though he is aware of their identity and their reason as to why they were here, he still needs to ask as per protocol.

"I am Inspector Kodua, team leader of the key case investigation team." Inspector Kodua said as he brought out his Identification.

"And these are my team, Sergeant Robert and Lance Corporal Jude." After saying so, Sergeant Robert and LC Jude also fished out their identification.

Sergeant Quaye nodded after inspecting their identities. He was amazed to find out that the seemingly impressive guy among them was a Lance Corporal. He was even younger than Becky. Perhaps Mr. Bullet's age.

"As you were pre-informed, we were sent by the headquarters to escort the assassin in your custody to the main city. A dangerous criminal of that level can't be left in here. He needs to stand on trial and then be sent to prison." Inspector continued after Sergeant Quaye had inspected their iD's.

"Well, thank you for the trouble. But the matter with the assassin, I think he didn't move on his own." Sergeant Quaye said after some hesitation.

Previously, he had made up his mind not to utter a single word to them as he also wanted to investigate the issue on his own.

However, due to the good impression he had gotten of Inspector Kodua, he decided to reveal what he had learned so far to him to assist him in his investigations.

"You mean to say that someone ordered him?" Inspector Kodua was shocked.

"Yes, that's what I think." After observing the interaction between Yebou and the assassin, one thing he learned was that the assassin had no motive behind the action he took.

This could be judged by his behavior when Yebou appeared before him. If he really did have a motive, his desire to kill Yebou for disrupting his plans would have been much greater than his amazement at how Yebou had dodged his bullet and even defeated him.
