Mina

Tae Mina. A girl, if her friends were to describe her with one word, it would be curious. From academics to sports and hobbies, she was willing to keep an open mind on any and everything. Lately, the brunette has been eyeing someone. A senior she often sees around campus. Like many, she didn't make a move of course, I mean, think about how weirded out you would be if a stranger you've never seen in your life came up to you on campus and told you they were interested in you. So, she decided to display those feelings elsewhere. Like I said, the girl was open minded, even when it came to her sexuality. Though that also meant she wasn't exactly loyal. The reason she broke up with most of her exes was because she found someone else more interesting. This time she found someone very intriguing, someone who might even be more amusing than a random guy she saw on campus, someone who she's wanted to know more than anyone ever before. For no particular reason whatsoever.

"Hm? oh hold one one second," Younghee leaned over her bed, gently lifting a stuffed animal and placing it carefully on her chair on the other side.

"Really?" Mina asked in a condescending tone.

"Can't let him see this, it's not really appropriate for a kid is it?" She replied sarcastically.

"Hmph, whatever." she scoffed, a smirk emerging as she pulled Younghee closer by her shirt collar. "I'm not here for something kid friendly anyway."

"hngh!"

"Be quiet jeez," Younghee groaned in annoyance, one hand moving to cover the other's mouth. this is why i didn't want to do it here.

The girl beneath her trembled each time her fingers even moved the slightest, and as each touch built up, her eyes flickered about with desperation, almost as if seeking approval from Younghee.

With a nod and one final thrust, a small moan slipped out, following an out of breath pant as Younghee removed her hand, leaning in to kiss Mina. Her eyes caught another's as she looked down the glass railings. A pair of bright hazel eyes from the ground floor meeting hers, in the dimly lit apartment, she felt as if she had done something wrong. For the first time in her life, Seo Younghee was ashamed she chose to live like this.

The next morning

The plate clinked against the drying rank as Ari turned the tap off, grabbing her cup to put back in the cupboard. She walked over to the dining chair and grabbed her bag that was lying by it, zipping it shut as she slipped her bottle in.

"Oh, morning," she looked up as Younghee came down the stairs, "I'll head out first. I have a morning lecture."

"Ah.. alright, I'll see you later…" the other replied, holding back something she wanted to say. A gloomy look as the tense air was broken by the sound of the front door shutting after Ari.

At university

"..-ting, like who does that anymore right? Are you even listening Younghee?"

"Hmm? Oh sorry what were you saying?"

"Tch, I'm not repeating all of that," Nari grunted, her arms crossing.

"Sorry I was thinking about something."

"Why what's bothering you?"

Younghee tilted her head as she looked at Nari, then chuckled a little, as if it's something that wouldn't bother you too.. "don't worry about it, you wouldn't want to know." She dismissed as she pat Nari's head, unintentionally messing her hair up.

"What, hey don't," Nari said, one hand grabbing her phone to use as a mirror as another tried to fix it.

"Oh sorry sorry," Younghee apologised, helping Nari as the other gave up for her to do, her hand placing the phone on the table and the other dropped by her sides.

"Are you free tonight?" Nari asked as Younghee finally fixed her hair, this time her hands retreating instead of teasing the brunette.

She shook her head, "I have something."

"..Mina?"

Younghee nodded in response.

Nari quickly turned back to her phone as she cupped her face in her hand, leaning her elbow against the table as she typed out a message.

"You're staying for the night right?"

"Yeah."

Younghee pulled away for a second as her phone buzzed; a notification for a social media post on the otherwise silent phone. "Give me a second," she gently pushed the other off as she unlocked her phone. A frown appearing as an image of Nari showed up, with someone's arm around her shoulder. The red nail polish on their hand paired with a smirk. "..Something came up." she turned to Mina.

"Huh?"

"I've got to go."

"Wait what, hey-"

As the sound of the front door shutting echoed in her ears, Tae Mina finally realised. She was wrong. There was a reason Seo Younghee was so appealing to her. The girl who's infamous for being cold and a player actually had a heart and a surprisingly soft side. She knew how to love. But that love was limited to specific people. Although it was disappointing she wasn't one of those people, what good would come out of her dwelling over this anyway. She sighed as she unlocked her phone, campus crush it is then.

"Didn't think you'd come out today," Sera said, handing Nari another glass.

"Oh.." Nari paused for a bit before taking the drink, a smile forming, "well exams are over for now and I needed a stress reliever."

"Yeah! We're finally free!" A senior approached, one hand holding a can of beer, the other drunkenly slung over Nari, the accidental force making her stumble slightly. She smiled awkwardly as she tried to break free from beneath the senior, "haha.."

"Senior, you realise we don't graduate the same time you do right?" Sera laughed, yanking Nari away from the drunk.

"Ah… right.." the senior groaned, "hm? Hey, who's that that keeps looking at us?" He pointed behind the girls. They turned their heads, a mixed reaction rising instantly.

A figure leaned on the wall, her arms crossed, one leg bent, heels resting on the brick wall. Her eyes on Nari, not even a slight reaction upon the 3 looking her way.

"What's she doing here?" Sera scoffed, her hands letting go of Nari, unwillingly as she felt the weight of other's glance.

"..I'll see you guys later," Nari said, briefly waving goodbye to the other two before she made her way through the crowd.

Younghee straightened up as the brunette emerged from the crowd, her frown softening as it slowly turns into a smile.

"I thought you had plans today?" Nari asked, "with Mina."

"Something came up.." Younghee replied, "You didn't tell me you'd come here."

"I didn't think I'd need to."

The snappy response caused the other to flash a shocked expression. "...Yeah you're right," Younghee sighed. "I just didn't think you'd be hanging out with her again."

"Huh? Oh, you mean Sera?" Nari asked, her head tilting to one side. She scoffed as Younghee's brows furrowed. "Younghee, you can't pick and choose who I hang out with."

Younghee was silent for a moment, a puzzled expression on her face as if trying to comprehend something unexpected.

"I didn't say I could." She finally chuckled, in an attempt to lighten the mood, "but, she's not the best choice for a friend you know" Her arms slipping around the other's waist.

"..." Nari sighed, her hands gripping onto the other's to stop it from pulling her closer, "you say that like you surround yourself with good characters."

"Well, can't deny that," Younghee grinned, "have you had enough to drink yet?"

"..fine, let's go," Nari groaned.

The two made their way out of the club, hands held as they chatted.

"How did you know I was here anyway?"

"...ah right, you should delete that post."
