DEVASTATED

After arguing with her parents at the palace, Princess Krys left in a flurry of emotions. She mounted her horse and rode away to seek solace in the solitude of the countryside. She needed time to calm herself, clear her thoughts, and process the hurt and disappointment she was feeling. As Princess Kyra rode the horse, she couldn't help but replay the conversation and her parent's decision not to give her the throne she had always desired. Deep down, she knew she could never forgive them for their lack of trust, unfairness, and refusal to see her for who she was. For now, the only thing that mattered was finding a way to heal and move on from this painful experience.

Princess Kyra is currently exploring the outskirts of Qeania while gazing at the area where an Empire once existed many years ago. She has read about this Empire and believes it was home to various supernatural creatures. Kyra is curious whether the dragons she has heard about come from the Barrier of the Empire.

After some time, she returned to the castle and locked herself in her room.

After this day, she never calls her parents Mumma and Papa. She talks to everyone coldly. She's cold to her brothers.

Hell

Sage felt concerned as he watched the tears streaming down Kyra's face. He's not sure why her emotions affect him. Sage knows Kyra's parents are honest with her about everything, as Sage can access her thoughts and feelings through their minds without her knowledge. As he ponders this, Sage becomes aware of his second-in-command's presence.

Sage asks, "What happened, Belial?"

Demon Belial asks, "My Lord, Do you want your mate to stay here? You know she is human. She will die if she stays here for a long time."

Sage looked at him and replied, "So, where else she would live? Of course, with me, here. I want my powers back. She will live with me, and I will get my powers. It is what the plan is."

Demon Belial speaks hesitantly, "What would happen to her after that?"

Sage raises his one eyebrow and slightly narrows his eyes as if he is accusing Demon Belial of something. Demon Belial gulps in fear because he knows he has crossed the line and his lord is getting mad at him.

Demon Belial rubs his hands in nervousness and speaks, "I... My Lord, I. It was wrong of me to say that. I apologize." Sage teleports toward him and asks, "Do you care about my mate?"

Demon Belial shakes his head and looks down as he replies, "I do not dare, My Lord. You see everything and how she feels betrayed when the truth is known. She would feel another betrayal when you betray her, and you also look concerned."

Sage smirks at him and shrugs, "Belial, I do not feely care for her. Concern, my foot!"

Sage walks around the throne room and shoves his hands in his pocket as he continues, "I just feel different, and it's not a concern."

Demon Belial looks at his lord as he snaps his fingers and vanishes from the room. Sage is in denial because he does not want to feel attached to Kyra. He does feel sad for her because, during the revelation, Kyra's mind has only thought, 'I couldn't get the throne.'

Sage feels that it is unfair to Kyra. She always thinks that the Qeania's throne is always her, and now she sees it slipping out of her hands.

Sage ponders over the fact, 'Do I care about Kyra? The answer is no, not now. Do I sympathize with her? No. Do I pity her? Yeah, I do. She does not get the throne she wants. But it is not like I care about her.'

Suddenly, a thought comes, 'But I do feel sad when I see tears in her eyes.' Sage shakes his head as he wants to throw the thought that comes into his mind.

Qeania Castle

Kyra is seated on the floor beside her bed, hugging her knees and lost in thought about recent events. She ponders her parents' mindset, which appears to be reminiscent of a monarch. Kyra can relate to her parent's way of thinking, as Kyra can also think about the Empire first as her parents. As she sits there, lost in thought, she can't help but wonder what the future holds for her and her family.

Kyra never once believed that her parents were selfish, but everything has changed. She can't help but blame them for her unfulfilled desires. They only seem to care about themselves and the Empire, leaving Kyra feeling lost and alone. Will she ever get what she truly desires? The suspense is killing her!

Kyra sleeps in the same position.

Next day

After the intense conversation with her parents, she felt a surge of determination to uncover the truth behind the mysterious incident. With a fiery determination, she began her search for her mate, the Devil himself. Nothing would stand in her way as she walks to the library of the Qeania Castle.

She searches the book room and selects books related to magic and supernatural beings. However, there's one book that has gained her attention.

"IQUSTAGIA" is written in bold and capital gold letters.

She grabs the books and sits on her couch in the corner.

Last night, she stood where the Iqustagia Empire's border started, and today, her attention shifted to the history book of Iqustagia.

Princess Kyra shook her head, picked up a book on supernatural creatures, and left the library for her bedroom.

Kyra, feeling rebellious, opted for breakfast in her bedroom to avoid any interaction with her parents. The maid arrived with a tray of delicious food, and Kyra savored every bite. After finishing her meal, she meticulously cleaned her hands, feeling satisfied with her small act of rebellion.

Kyra sat on the balcony, reading books on supernatural beings. She held blank papers in her hand to take notes.

After taking some notes, Kyra remembers the history book of Iqustagia. She wants to read about it as it catches her interest, and for a long time, she couldn't see the book in the library, but today she did. So, she walks out of the room.

When she enters the library, she directly walks to the section where she finds the book. She takes out of the shelf and looks around to see where to sit and read.

With the gold pen and in bold letters, she touches the title.

I.Q.U.S.T.A.G.I.A

Kyra picked up the old book with a smile, feeling its weight in her hand and noticing the unique scent emanating from its pages. As she carefully flipped through them, she couldn't help but feel a strange connection to the book. The texture of the paper, the faded ink, and the handwritten notes in the margins all seemed to speak to her and couldn't quite explain. It was as if the book had a story, and she was eager to discover it.

The first page contains details about the first Emperor of the Iqustagia Empire. How was Iqustagia built, and what kind of Emperor did it have? How many Emperors and Empresses did Iqustagia have, and their achievements? What excites her is their different personalities and the magic techniques they master!

Upon reaching the page dedicated to the last Emperor of the Iqustagia Empire, she sees a handsome face. However, his shrewdness couldn't hide behind his good looks.

After the Emperor, there is only one portrait left, and it is the only one with the title of Crown Prince rather than Emperor. Kyra closed the book when she heard a knock on the library door without looking at the face of the Crown Prince of Iqustagia. Kyra looks at the door and then at the window where the sky has turned dark indicating that it is night time. She puts the book back in its place and opens the door to find no one outside.

Princess Kyra rushes to her room and collapses on her bed, completely exhausted.
