Dominick's POV
I rushed over before Damian could even process my presence, yanked him off Luna, and delivered a solid punch to his face, instantly drawing blood as he fell to the floor.
I looked at Luna, her eyes widening in surprise before they slowly turned into shame. Her gray eyes moist with tears, she wrapped her hands over her exposed chest, looking away in embarrassment. Anger boiled inside me and I clenched my fists together, trying to control my rage.
I didn't say anything to her but turned my attention back to my bastard brother, bending over to deliver another punch. "You fucking bastard, how dare you?"
"Fuck," Damian yelped, holding his bloody lips. "Where the fuck did you come from?"
"Have you lost your damn mind?" My fingers gripped Damian's neck tightly, shaking him. "Do you have a death wish?"
Damian let out a watery chuckle, his breathing ragged and painful. "Since when did you start caring about Sol that much apart from the obvious? You've never needed to fight for her..."
"Shut the hell up!" I pressed hard on his neck as he struggled for breath, letting my anger do the talking. "You know nothing."
"Let go... of.." he choked out, his blue eyes almost bulging out of their sockets.
I was so furious; I couldn't believe he was trying to force himself on Luna, and it angered me even more that she couldn't defend herself.
"You're... you're killing him." Luna's soft voice brought me out of my thoughts, and I looked down at Damian's pale face as he squirmed on the floor. "Please...."
Taking a deep breath, I released my grip and stood up, kicking his hand away before stepping back. My eyes went to Luna; thankfully, she had the mind to wear her dress properly at least.
"Let's go," I pulled her hands roughly as we headed towards the door, stopping to glance at the bastard who was wincing on the floor. "I swear if you ever try something like this again, little brother, I'll fucking kill you."
"You don't even love her... You only care about that thing on her, you bastard. Stop acting high and mighty..." He was ranting a load of crap as we exited the room.
As we stepped out, we were immediately greeted by the sight of dead bodies and blood plastered on the floor. I felt Luna shaking beside me. "What happened here?"
"The Black Mamba Mafia happened. They attacked us." I mumbled, cautiously surveying our surroundings.
My men had already taken care of the bastards, but I wanted to be sure. Most of the guests had already fled, except for the unfortunate ones who didn't make it. I had been conversing with some of the elders when a gunshot echoed, throwing the hall into panic. Thankfully, my men swung into action, stopping the fools who had disguised themselves as waiters before they could cause more harm.
I led Luna into another empty room and sat her on a chair before moving away to stand by the window. I needed a moment.
"Dominick, I can..."
"Just shut up," I snapped, pointing an angry finger at her. "I don't want to hear it."
"Why are you screaming at me?" Her tears had already started streaming down her cheeks. Pathetic
"What the hell were you doing in that room with Damian?"
She brought her head down, wiping her eyes with the back of her palm. "I...I..."
"Speak up and stop stalling!"
She shook slightly, nodding her head. "I was coming out of the restroom when I saw Damian approaching. I quickly hid inside that empty room." She paused, looking at me with hurtful eyes. "I didn't know he saw me and would follow me into the room."
So that's what happened. I knew Damian had wanted to fuck Sol for a long time, but I didn't know he'd go this far.
"Are you okay?" I lowered my voice, feeling a little guilty for how harshly I had spoken to her.
She nodded slowly, still refusing to meet my gaze. "Yes...yes, I'm fine, but I want to leave this place."
"Fine," I shrugged, "let's go..."
"No...no, not that. I want to go home. I can't do this." I watched amused as words rolled out of her mouth amidst tears.
I strode over and stood in front of her. "What did you say?"
"I can't do this, Dominick, please...."
"Shut the fuck up, Luna." I bent down, leaning forward to meet her eye level. "You can't leave until your sister returns. She has something of mine, something important."
"What does that have to do with me?" Her voice rose with her emotions, surprising me a bit. "I have nothing to do with all this."
"It doesn't matter, Luna." My jaw clenched tightly, his narrowing a bit. "I need you here because if any of those bastards find out your sister isn't here, then I might lose everything."
She furrowed her brows slightly. "What is it she has that belongs to you? Maybe...maybe I could help you."
"Just as I thought, you're both together." My father's voice interrupted as he strode into the room, raising a brow at us. "Or am I interrupting something?"
"It's alright," I straightened my back, but my eyes were still fixed on Luna. "She's a little startled, that's all." I nodded as I walked towards him. "I'll go check out what's going on out there."
"Alright then," Father said, casting a worried glance at Luna. Before I stepped out of the room, he stopped me. "You know they were here because of her, right?"
I sighed, nodding my head. "I know. I'll take care of it." I ignored the skeptical look he was sending me and exited the room. I wasn't going to let him place all the blame on me; I wasn't the one who hosted the stupid ass party and allowed those motherfuckers in without proper verification.
I was about to go get some updates from my men when I saw my little sister Elta approaching with her mother Elle.
She hurried over, throwing her arms around my back. "Dominick, I'm glad you're okay."
"Are you hurt anywhere, Elta?" I ran a hand soothingly over her back to calm her down before gently pulling her away.
"No... I'm...."
"Scared," Elle cut in, grinning at me. "She'll be fine."
"Thank goodness," I ignored Elle, ruffling Elta's hair affectionately.
I might despise her mother, but I love my sister and will do anything to protect her.
"Elta, can you give us a minute? I want to have a word with your brother." Elta nodded, though she didn't look pleased at all to hear that. "Please," Elle added.
"I can't even spend more than a second with you since you became the don," she whined rolling her eyes.
I sighed, removing strands of hair from her face. "I know, El, but I swear I'll make time for us. I promise."
"Pinky swear," she pulled out her pinky finger. I shook my head amused. The silly things my little sister makes me do.
"Alright, fine," I did the silly pinky swear and didn't regret the sparkle that gleamed in her eyes.
I was grinning as she walked away before Elle's voice pulled me back.
"Let's talk, Dom."
I sighed, pointing inside the room where I found Damian and Luna earlier. We entered, and before I could even breathe, she wrapped her hands around my neck.
"Get off me," I pushed her away angrily, eyeing her dangerously. "Are you fucking crazy?"
"Oh, come on, Dom," she rolled her eyes, crossing her arms around her midriff. "Why are you acting this way?"
"I don't know, you tell me?" I tipped my chin up, still glaring down at her. "It's not as if you're not my father's wife."
"It doesn't matter," she mumbled under her breath. "It's not as if you don't want to fuck me."
"I don't want to," I strode slowly, stopping in front of her. "Cut to the chase. How did you know about Luna and Sol?"
She chuckled, throwing her head back. "Why should I?"
I pulled her roughly by the waist, using my fingers to tilt her head forcefully up. "Talk, or I swear..."
Her chuckle deepened, and I resisted the urge to wipe the smirk off her face. "Because I spoke to her before she left."
"Left? Where?"
"I don't know."
"Elle?" I warned her.
"Wait, someone is calling my name," she whispered anxiously, and I quickly let go of her face, stepping back.
"Elle!" I heard the voice audibly. It was my father.
"Over here, honey," she returned, and seconds later, he entered the room.
"I was worried sick," he came to her side and placed his arms around her waist before looking at me with a raised brow.
"We were talking about the attack and everything," I explained calmly, and he nodded before bringing his face up in question.
"Did anything happen between you and Damian?"
I scoffed, dusting off my suit. "Nothing special. Just a little argument."
He shook his head. "He looked a little bit roughed up."
"Where is Sol?" I asked, changing the topic.
"Oh, she's waiting for you. I think she's tired."
"Then I better go get her. See you then." With a curt nod, I left and headed to get Sol. I was livid that my father interrupted the conversation. That bitch knew something, and I needed to know.
I stopped at the entrance of the room, motioning for Sol to get up. "Let's go."
After a long drive, we arrived at the mansion, Alen coming to welcome us immediately we stepped into the living room.
"Dominick, are you alright? I heard everything," he mumbled anxiously, glancing all over my body like a mother hen before nodding at Luna.
"I'm fine. Stop overreacting," I joked, trying to lighten the situation.
His head shook in amusement. "The bastard is inside the dungeon."
"Great. I'll interrogate him myself."
"Oh, Dominick, you're back," my brows knitted together in surprise to see Selene coming downstairs. She rushed over and threw her arms around my shoulders. "Are you alright?"
I nodded. "When did you get here?"
"Thirty minutes ago. Come on, let's go inside. I'll make you feel good," she purred, swaying her hips seductively, making my cock twitch. Fuck!
I noticed she was looking over my shoulders and followed her gaze. I had totally forgotten Luna was here.
"You can go inside," I nodded at Luna before pulling Selene upstairs with me.
Luna didn't look too pleased, but did she think she was actually my wife, and I'd fuck her? Maybe I would if she begged me though.
