Luna's POV
I wrapped my arms around myself, glad that the rain had finally stopped, although I was still freezing. It was already morning, but it didn't feel like it. My whole body ached, and I was hungry again. Plus, I didn't get much sleep last night.
"Luna..." Joel's voice called softly.
"You're awake," I said, crawling to where he was laying down. I placed my hand on his forehead to check his temperature. "You're not burning up anymore."
He yawned, slowly pulling himself up to sit. "You didn't abandon me," he smiled faintly. "Why?"
"Because I didn't have the heart to just abandon you."
"And I'm grateful for that," he nodded. "Thank you so much, Luna."
"No need to thank me," I frowned. "Just get me to Dominick."
He sighed, averting his gaze. "Aren't you cold?"
Oh, so he changed the topic.
My eyes flew to my body. I was wearing only a thin linen top; of course, I was cold.
