Found Her

Luna's POV

Dominick and I exchanged a look, tension brewing as we heard Sol's desperate cries echo from one of the windows above us. I pointed towards the upper floor of Roy's mansion, heart pounding. "It's coming from there, I'm sure of it."

Without a second thought, we turned back to the house, rushing past Roy, who barely had time to look surprised. "Where are you going?" he shouted, but we ignored him, racing up the stairs, our footsteps echoing off the marble floors and through the empty corridors.

We reached the top floor and began tearing open doors one by one. Each room was cold and empty, but as frustration started to gnaw at me, we heard Sol's muffled voice again, closer, more desperate. Dominick zeroed in on the sound, lunged for a door, and kicked it open with one swift motion.
