"Shit! Its attacks neglects defense. I hope I can survive this shit! I guess using my trump card now is best suited. An Advanced tiee beast forcing my hands...I mean hand is shit!" Adam was going to have to do something if he wanted to survive. He watched the steel bear charging towards his with great speed in silence, trying to gain inner peace.
"C'mon, demon! I swear I would let you have all the fun the entire quest without taking control. And you could go on killing spree...at least do it for Rhian and John!" Adam was about to die in panic. He could already hear his heart beating like it had been ripped off and placed in his ear.
Beat!... Beat!...
All sounds weren't audible except his heartbeat. After a second, the sound stopped. He couldn't hear anything. The surrounding was too silent. Suddenly, the sound of flowing water entered his ears, which caused his earlobes to react to it. The smell of flowers wafted into his nostrils, relieving his stress. He felt a sudden warmth on his body, which made him notice he wasn't wearing a shirt. His pale body glistened like porcelain in the light from the warm sun and then, he noticed something. He opened his eyes to see something unbelievable.
'What is all this?' Adam thought as he looked around. He was standing on a hill filled with lush green grass, colourful flowers blossoming everywhere. He said the calm and clear, but endless river flow gently and a bright blue sun sitting proudly in the sky. Beautiful cyan clouds formed its own essence in the vast skarlet sky, and heart warming sapphire light of an aurora illuminating his surroundings. His eyes fell on the gentle and lovely trees of different colors, forming a pathway to somewhere. Ot was leading to something.
Adam, who was lost in this beautiful world, followed the path until he reached a stairway, which seemed endless, covered above by the cyan clouds. He even forgot about what was about to happen few seconds from now.
"Welcome, Adam, son of the Forgotten one! I, his humble servant welcome you to his world. Adam almost choked when he heard that voice. He remembered that same gesture, that same demeanor. It was that of the 'proposed' 'inner demon'. He didn't quite understand.
"Senior, you honor me, but I just want something simple from you. If you would please help me this once." Adam looked at the slender man with long silver hair, dresses in white robes and cyan gem embedded between his eyebrows. His tranquil cyan eyes shone his perfect patience and loyalty to someone who existed but didn't. He was quite emotional for a man and his feminine looks gave him a charm.
"I didn't expect you to come to me over trivial matters. I watched your fight...and, it was rather disappointing. You even lack the basic training of a novice warrior. But I'll help you this once. The system His Eminence left was rather useless." The man said with a chuckle as he stared at the stairs up in the sky, and continued: "Maybe, we were wrong, but I feel it's not my choice. For this to work. You shall sacrifice [Judgement], forever losing it... when you haven't grasp anything. The glaive is not your style, but you chose that part without considering. To save your life, I shall do what is to be done."
Before Adam could react, the [Judgement] appeared in mid-air. Its delicate mirror blade shone with its brilliance. The azure edges glowed with fierce spirit. The shaft glowed in delicate azure light. But before anything...
Bang!
The beautiful glaive exploded into azure lights. It was beautiful, but painful. Everything this ethereal light touched strengthened with new vitality. It was like the blessing of a divine being fell upon these plants, filling the with the energy of life. The true essence of the world.
"Do you grasp the truth now, choosen one?" The man asked with a smile. It seemed disappointed looking at the clueless mortal in front of him. Os this person truly worth what his stars say?
"I don't get anything you're saying. All I want is your help in finishing off that annoying bear. I don't get what you mean by style, or even weapon appraisal, but just help me once... please?" Adam was on the verge of dying, but he was here begging for this man's help. On two seconds, he was going to die.
"Oops, you died! How do you feel dying? Do you really think I would help you survive that fate? You totally depend on something that is attached to you, something that will strengthen you to some extent, and then kill you. That entity cultivates you only to harvest your soul. Killing you or you dying is synonymous to winning against that crazy thing. Your existence is forbidden. Your life is owned, and your fate is shackled. You are worth nothing!" The man's words, though gentle, echoed in Adam's soul. His soul felt heavy, his life force dissipating very fast. It was unimaginable.
Thud~
'How did it come to this? I depended on the system just because I was useless in the past. I treated it as my savior! I made a grave mistake. I couldn't even defend myself in front of an Advanced tier beast. How useless can I be? I'm no different from those bastards who die from big mistakes! I hate it all. I felt I would be okay after leaving my quadriplegic life behind, but everything was a mess. I haven't even begin my plan for a bright future!' Adam's thought was running wild. He felt like he was wrong from the beginning. He felt he needed to begin a new life, far from this current life he was living.
"I shall leave a way for you. It all depends on you. Your choices from now on shall call upon the universe rules. You shall be shackled by its law. Every choice or action you make shall have an after effect on your destiny. You shall not get any assistance from me or anything in this path. You will awaken yourself in a new realm far away from this chaotic world of technology, and journey the world of true magic. You must break those shackles that binds you. Until then, I shall not show you what path you must follow. I shall not lead you to your fate. All of this will happen, but this universe you exist in will seize to exist. It shall be forgotten like how His Eminence was forgotten!" With that said, Adam watched as a black hole appeared from nowhere, depicting an aura of calamity, slaughter, and dread. It was like an hungry beast which wanted to swallow the universe with its maw. Its pressure could be felt by Adam. This was a power he never even dreamt exist.
"Be gone!" With a casual, but gentle gesture, the entire universe spasmed like it was hollow flesh and the black hole shrinked into a tiny orb of endless darkness.
This was the truth. Life hadn't even started, but it ended. He never grasped a single thing that happened. He was clueless. He was lost. He was hollow. He was shackled in endless darkness, his soul going through the trials of nirvana. This was it.
Finally, life was going to be more fun!
