Elucidation

The day had long since begun and with it the Capital city of Roserun had become a ghost town, very few commoners had chosen to remain behind in their capital city, refusing the kind offer presented to them by their Princess and her Liege Lord the Grand Duke of Latinium.

The Castle was still in a state of panic as the Noble retainers were still screaming at their servants in a desperate attempt to bring the army back post haste in order to get them to recover their people who'd abandoned them.

The king meanwhile was still reeling from the news that now not only was he broke but he was now merely a king in title along, for there were hardly any people he truly ruled over...

It was while he was dwelling on these though seated atop his makeshift throne that a man and women enter this hall much to the surprise and chagrin of the nobles present.

Julius and Princess Yurasia had arrived.

"You!!! How dare you come here after what you've done!!"

Triggered by the Kings own outburst the surrounding nobles likewise hurled verbal abuse against the present pair standing in this reception hall.

"Oh?"

Cocking her head to the side in a cute manner.

"What is it that i have done dear brother?"

"Whore! Now you deny acting against me! Steal not only my things but now also my people!"

The young king was beyond livid and could hardly see straight, as his vision dyed itself red.

"Hmph, this is what you call a king?"

Answering the kings biting words with some of his own.

The hall fell silent hearing his reply, their monarch had just been insulted, this provocation would in most cases lead to war but Roserun surely could not win such a fight.

"This boy wearing a crown feigns responsibility and pushes everything on his sister. She who has only ever done what was best for her country... but what have you done... you Highness? Oppressed them... Starved them... Stolen from them... killed them for expressing their discontent?"

All present took sharp inhales as each charge laid cut in to them.

"We've not been in Roserun for more than a week now and it is clear to us now this kingdom fell long ago... a pity really, for we both sacrificed so much to save her, but in the end all our efforts were wasted."

The hall continued to remain silent as many could not refute these claims, Julius and Yurasia had fended off Bridget, prevented Lunan from taking large sums in the form of compensation and thus for asked nothing in return save for a few baubles from the treasury.

Meanwhile they and their King had done equal amounts of damage to their own people similar to the invaders from Bridget, left the lands to go fallow rather than restore it allowing them to recreate the great crop fields.

"We had come at the express invitation of his Majesty, but seeing it now we along with the people of Roserun clearly are not welcome here, and so we take our leave back to our own lands. We do hope you can do better to bring about a return to the Roserun of old."

As the pair turned to leave the king having lost his temper at this scathing review drew his blade and pointed it at them.

"You dare play as a king you gutter rat, you are nothing more than a backwater baron, and shall return to where you belong soon enough, it's a good thing you've not declared yourself a king for you deserve not the right to call yourself on such as us!"

"And you your majesty are the prime reason why i choose not to consider myself a king, for why would i wish to lower myself to belong to the same level as one who behaves such as you."

This being their final words, Julius and Yuri absconded from the hall.

"Get the queens guard to kill those two!"

Having been enraged to a level unseen before the king commanded the royal knights who served his wife to execute Julius and Yurasia who'd just left.

"We're sorry milord but milady's knights have not been seen in quite some time now?"

The noble standing near the makeshift throne responded to the kings demand, and this was true.

The Queens guard were not around, while his own Kings guard had ridden out to summon Supreme General Bellac and his army back to the Capital, the Queens guard would be the only remaining Royal guards within the castle meant to protect himself plus the queen.

But unknown to the king, the queen and her guards had gathered up what little they could from the castle and joined the exodus of people fleeing the nation north to Latinium.

She had been forced into her marriage by her father but now that the nightmare was over and the boy king had little power left, she was free and so with those loyal to her left for a chance at a new life.

Julius and Yuri meanwhile using their power levels to their advantage sprinted off away from the capital running many time faster than horses, easily catching up with the throng of commoners heading for their new lands and new life in the north.

And just a mere single days walk from the capital Julius announced that they had arrived at their promised land.

As those in his company were deemed to be under his command the system also recognized that the lands had shifted from the control of the Kingdom of Roserun instead to the control of the Grand Duchy of Latinium.

With this change Julius could stop their march and begin the construction of their newest city.

And so while the assembled commoners sat upon the ground and took rest, Julius began running around spending build points left and right until an hour later from within the newly constructed city walls a drawbridge was lowered, allowing the commoners access to their new home.

Standing at the foot of the drawbridge was Julius, his arms outstretched.

"Welcome to Rosa Alba of the Grand Duchy of Latinium"

From behind Julius a cohort of Legionnaires could be seen lining the street.

These men were to be the new city garrison and police force but also would be aiding in the settlement of this new city.

And so the former citizens of Roserun filed into the newly founded city of Rosa Alba it's scale appeared lesser than the capital but with multifloored apartments lining the residential districts the number of people who could live here far surpassed the capital.

The walls defending their borders likewise were greater than the capital's.

As they found themselves new homes, new shops, new smithy's the people wept in joy at their new lords benevolence.

And a great founding festival was held to celebrate as good brought in by the army were provided to the citizens.

Julius was absent as he had the important task of racing further north to develop the road network to join his newest city to the road networks of the former lunan.

Dealing with Roserun was far from over, but for now they'd need to wait for Roserun's response and that of it's surviving noble lords, more lands could fall into Julius's hands or they could rise up against him, his other legions remained standing by at the borders to respond if needed while a single legion had crossed over into the newest territory to begin their patrols and defense of the region.
