Caleb drove me further north, leaving the city far behind us.

The road we were traveling through reminded me of the time I had crossed the Meiril Pass and entered the Helblaze pack's territory for the first time because of the similarities in surroundings. The road was built across the forest, there was greenery everywhere, the sky looked bluer, and the altitude was also higher than the valley's.

As we got closer and closer to the hills, the wind also started getting cooler. It was perfect for the hot summer day.

I tucked my flying hair behind my ears and looked at Caleb. "You're still not going to tell me where you're taking me?"

"You will see when we get there," he replied, plain and simple. For some reason, he looked too focused on driving, probably because the road was getting narrower.
