CHAPTER 63 - Mutant Tisane IV

"That's an obvious deduction" the man on the third seat to the right said; "I was never comfortable with the existence of the underworld society and now we are all suffering the effects of their cancerous existence"

"As much as I'd like to blame the underworld for these attacks, I don't think that would be adequate" the woman on the second seat to the right replied; "The boko haram had already been agitating for a government of their own for a very long time and they will stop at nothing to achieve that aim"

"Yes we all know about the boko haram's madness, but how then can you explain the continuous acquisition of advanced grade weapons which has given them an edge over our security teams all this while?" The man on the third seat to the left asked.

"We need to find a way to put an end their onslaught, before it gets out of hand" the man on the second seat to the left said.

"I have already made arrangements for a special form of security to be used against the insurgents" Mr Fadeyemi said.

"I don't think that would be effective enough sir" the second man on the right said; "Of all the security teams that we've hired, none of them have been able to stop the insurgents"

"Yeah I agree. We've wasted a lot of money while trying to stop these bastards" the third man on the left said.

"That's because all the solutions we've tried were limited to human capabilities" Mr Fadeyemi said; "Now we must try something beyond"

"What are you trying to say sir?" The first woman on the right asked.

Before Mr Fadeyemi could reply, his secretary whom was standing beside him, suddenly bent down and whispered in his ear. He frowned and whispered back to her, which made her to nod her head and return back to her standing position while speaking quietly to the earpiece device that stretched down from her ear to her mouth.

"As I was saying" Mr Fadeyemi continued with a straight face; "We cannot keep relying on human abilities and human inventions anymore, the times are changing and we have to change along with it, there is a weapon out there which is greater than anything that we've ever known"

"And what weapon would that be?" The second man on the right asked.

"Mutants" Mr Fadeyemi answered simply.

"Huh..."

"....."

"....."

"....."

"....."

"...."

"Excuse me sir" another woman who sat on the fourth seat to the right spoke.

"Yes" Mr Fadeyemi nodded at her.

"If I am to be correct, are you referring to those foreign entertainers on TV who display certain 'magical' skills as a sporting activity?" The second woman on the right asked.

"Wait....those guys?" The third man on the left asked in surprise.

"But I thought they were a bunch of staged fighters with graphically arranged fighting skills" the second man on the left said.

"They are....how else do you explain the impossible movements and magical displays that they showcase?" The second man on the right asked.

"I think that they might actually be real" the first woman on the right said.

"You can't possibly be serious" the first man on the right refuted; "If such humans actually existed, then our society would have been turned upsidedown"

"But just because something may seem impossible, doesn't mean it's not plausible" the first woman on the right replied.

"Why are we even debating on this?.....we need actual solutions to this problem, not fairy tales " the second man on the left said.

"Those fairy tales are our actual solutions" Mr Fadeyemi stated with a serious look on his face.

He glanced at everyone in the room, as he saw the incredulous looks on their faces. Before he could explain further, his secretary bent down again and whispered in his ear in an urgent manner.

On hearing what she had to tell him, his eyes widened slightly in surprise as he whispered back to her. On getting her reply, he fingered his chin thoughtfully.

The executive men and women around the table, stared and waited for him to finish his thought process.

"Gentlemen and ladies, we have a situation before us right now" Mr Fadeyemi declared after some time.

"Sir what are you talking about?" The first man on the left asked.

"We have an intruder in the company right now" Mr Fadeyemi said with a straight face.

"What.....an intruder?!" The second man on the right exclaimed.

"Someone actually dares to be that foolish?" The first man on the right asked with a look of disdain.

"Apart from being foolish, talk about surprising" the second woman on the right said; "No one has been bold enough to attack our headquarters....not even the boko haram"

"So who is it....an assassin, a suicide bomber?" The first man on the left asked while staring at Mr Fadeyemi.

"Hmph....does it matter?" The second man on the right said with a snort; "Whoever it is, they will be apprehended by our security teams"

"Actually....the intruder defeated our security teams and is on their way to the top floor" Mr Fadeyemi said as a matter of fact.

"What?!" Everyone at the table exclaimed.

"How's that possible?!" The second man on the left asked incredulously.

"To defeat all our security teams.....how trained and prepared can such a person be?" The second woman on the right asked.

"There should be no cause for alarm" Mr Fadeyemi stated as he glanced at everyone in the office; "A contingency plan have already been put in motion"

"What do you mean sir?" The first man on the left asked with a frown.

Signalling to his secretary, Mr Fadeyemi ordered; "Put on the CCTV display"

His secretary nodded as she brought out a device that somewhat looked like a remote. When she pressed it, the huge TV screen that faced the long table that they were seated around, came on to display the view of three youths that stood adjacent to one another in a corridor.

The seven executives stared at the screen in confusion, only to return their stare back to Mr Fadeyemi and erupting in questions;

"Sir may I ask who they are?" The second woman on the right asked.

"I want you all to meet Matthew, Jerry and Melissa" Mr Fadeyemi said; "These three kids are mutants"

"What?!" The first man on the left exclaimed while snapping his gaze back to the TV screen.

"What are you trying to say sir?" The first woman on the right asked with wide open eyes; "Do you mean these kids can do those things that those magic fighters do on TV?"

"That's impossible!" The third man on the left refuted; "Such things only exist in sci-fi movies"

"Then I think we are about to watch a sci-fi movie" Mr Fadeyemi said sarcastically as he glanced at the third man on the left.

While they were still in disbelief, the TV screen displayed another boy jumping out of the elevator which leads to the entrance of the corridor. The following scene happened quite fast, as the three previous youths seemed to be talking to the boy that just came in.

All of a sudden, the elevator opened again, as a beautiful young lady came out of it and immediately attacked the fourth youth with a strange rope alike projectile.

"Why did she attack him?" The first woman on the right asked as she frowned.

"Yeah...he was clearly harmless, and moreover what kind of weapon did she use?" The third man on the left asked as he stared closely at the screen.

"The fourth youth is our alleged intruder" Mr Fadeyemi said as he fixed his sharp gaze on the screen.

"What?!" The first man on the right exclaimed as he stared at Mr Fadeyemi in disbelief; "How can such a young boy be able to sweep through our security so easily?"

"Are you sure you're not mistaken sir?" The first man on the left asked.

Unknown to them, Mr Fadeyemi was also incredulous about what he was seeing.

_''But that is Tisane!''_ he thought as he stared at the fourth youth in the screen.

_''Or am I mistaken?''_

His eyes were slightly widened in surprise, which he tried his best to hide.

"Vivian, zoom in closer" Mr Fadeyemi instructed his secretary, whereby which she obeyed and made use of the remote to zoom in the images on the screen.

_''It's really him!!''_ Mr Fadeyemi's eyes quaked as he clearly saw the face of the fourth youth on the screen.

Before long, the TV screen began to display the brawl between Tisane and Jerry. The eyes of all the executives in the office were wide open as they watched the fight unfold from Tisane and Jerry, to Tisane and Matthew, which then returned back to Tisane, Jerry, Sabrina and Melissa.

All the while, the executives, including Mr Fadeyemi were in absolute surprise and shock that their eyes were almost falling out of their sockets and their mouth from their jaws.
