YUN FAMILY RESIDENCE

It's been four days since Yun Tian's encounter with Li Hua, and no one had seen him step foot outside his residence ever since. During this period, the Yun Family had been left quite busy preparing for the upcoming wedding which was due the next day, and a very expensive cathedral hall had even been booked in their name, they also raised a new room in their residence just to accept the arriving bride's family.

Kcha...!

The sound of halting chariots caught most members of the family off guard, and a few of the servants quickly rushed to tell the Family Head about the arrival of the sky inferno Dragon Clan.

Sitting in a small room with an eloquent design, members from both families discussed with fruits and refreshments more than enough for everyone to enjoy. Yun Tian sat silently opposite his father with a calm and somewhat cold expression and anyone who knew him could tell that he was a in bad mood.

"Ah! Brother Duyi, Young master Tian is a fine man, just as the stories said, ha, ha, my Granddaughter is really blessed."

Uttered a middle-aged man with a finely kept beard as he scanned his eyes all over Yun Tian.

"Hum, I should be the one saying so, come to think of it, where is your Granddaughter?"

Asked Yun Duyi in a friendly yet investigative tone.

"Ha, ha, I'm glad you asked."

Uttered the middle-aged man with a thunderous laugh as he drank more of the intoxicating wine in front of him, before signaling to two of the men that came with him. It didn't take long for them to return with a beautiful young lady, which caught everyone by surprise, even Yun Tian couldn't help but furrow his brows at this point.

"Is this my bride?"

Thought Yun Tian within himself, feeling mixed feelings of joy, shock, and worry, because the beauty of this lady and her temperament didn't seem like something he could handle in the least.

"Greetings everyone."

Uttered the lady with a soothing voice that warmed the heart of everyone present before calmly making her way to her father's side.

"Brother Yun Duyi, meet my Granddaughter who is... I mean who was your son's childhood bride, Mei Lian."

"Brother Tang, little Lian has truly grown to become a breathtaking beauty, ha, ha, the Yun family is truly blessed."

Replied Yun Duyi who was still feeling a bit amused, it was at this moment that Yun Tian quickly gave an excuse before exiting the room, making everyone a bit confused, but no one dwelt much on this matter apart from Yun Duyi who had a bleek glow flashed past his eyes.

**YUN WEI'S QUARTERS**

Sitting inside a simple room was a very beautiful young lady with silky black hair, she wore white robes, and had pale white skin while also giving off an aura of peace. anyone who looked at her will immediately think of Yun Tian since there was quite a bit of resemblance between the two, sadly, this woman's expression didn't match her grace as she gently massaged an obvious hit mark on her face. She sat on the side of her bed seemingly lost as she looked out the window but immediately came back to her senses from the beckoning of a noise outside.

Knock! Knock!

"Come in Tian."

Uttered the woman without even asking who, before arranging her hair to cover the hit mark on her face.

"Mother, are you alright?"

Asked Yun Tian with a soft voice the moment he saw his mom's forced smile. She was just about to reply when Yun Tian immediately cut her off.

"Don't even try to fool me, I know he did it again."

Uttered Yun Tian with a calm tone, as he walked and sat by her side, while also using his hand to inspect the mark on her face.

"It's nothing really."

Uttered his mom as she gently put down his hands with a loving smile on her face.

"I heard your bride is beautiful."

Said his mom in a bid to start up a conversation

"Indeed so, but I seem to feel confused on how to handle someone with such temperament."

Uttered Yun Tian with a frustrated expression causing his mom to give off a light laugh at his comment.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine if there's one thing I know; it's that there's nothing my son can't handle."

Said Yun Tian's mom with a smile as she embraced him softly.

"Come now, you better go back before your father comes to find you here himself okay, bring me back stories."

Yun Tian simply nodded in reply, and his mom gently gave him a kiss on the forehead before waving him goodbye as he exited the room. Seeing that he was gone, she simply heaved a sigh and closed her eyes in pain while rubbing her right shoulder. Tears began to stream slowly from her face, but somehow a smile remained present.

**COURTYARD (FEW MOMENTS PAST MID DAY)**

Yun Tian slowly scouted the elevated hallways of his residence, while enjoying the view of the mountaintops he saw along the way.

"What a surprise."

Uttered a crisp voice that caused Him to jerk back to reality. Standing in front of him was the stunning Mei Lian, she had gem-green eyes, spotless fair skin, and rosy red lips which bloomed any time she moved them, Her body was quite perfect from all angles, and her temperament was that of a princess, finally, her beauty had a touch of a bewitching charm matched that she always had a cold expression, mainly from how reserved and unconcerned she was to anyone and anything, yet for some reason, she found Yun Tian interesting.

"Miss Mei Lian, what a surprise it is indeed, what brings you here at this hour, aren't you supposed to be with the party?"

"I should be asking you the same thing."

Replied Mei Lian with a cold expression that caused Yun Tian's heartstrings to pull, but he was wise enough to maintain his expression, only giving off a calm vibe as they talked.

"Anyways, I was just passing by, but seeing you here has allowed me to observe."

On Hearing her words, Yun Tian couldn't help but give off a frown, and for some reason, he dreaded this lady before him.

"I'm an open book Mr. Tian, but the question is, can you read me."

Done with her words, Mei Lian used her finger to try and tap Yun Tian on the chest, causing him to involuntarily jerk back quite a bit as he held back her hand just a few centimeters to his chest, and for the first time, Mei Lian gave off a soft smile that caused Yun Tian's emotions to shift with desire.

Tap!

The touch was quite small, and Yun Tian couldn't believe that he was scared of only that. Out of confusion, he calmly shifted to the side, letting the latter pass as he watched her from behind with full awe, at this point she seemed like a legend for pulling that off.

"I'm going to like this."

Thought Yun Tian as he exited the scene.
