Monkey in the stone

In the end, I just stopped thinking about it.

It was clear by the way that the other monkeys treated it that the little monkey was anything but ordinary.

This little monkey seemed like it was treasured by the rest of the monkeys on this monkey mountain, so there must be something special about it.

As such, it didn't seem as strange that it didn't break through after eating two peaches all by itself.

It must be a special breed or something.

The monkey elders drank the wine with us and kept talking as if they were telling me something, but that was where gestures failed.

If it was something simple, then I might be able to understand it.

However, the things that they were telling me seemed much more complicated than just a few simple words. It was as if they were telling me an entire story, so I just wasn't able to get most of it from these gestures alone.

I was able to make out a few things about what they were saying.
