Caroline and Culver were unanimous in their thoughts.
Staring blankly at each other, they couldn't figure out why the person pulled a prank on them.
She asked, "Who was the one that told you I was suffering?"
"Loraine, your sister. I didn't think she had any reason to lie to me. Also, when I called you, you didn't want to come out, and I thought that it was because you couldn't come out, so that's why I believed her..."
He couldn't go on. It was already a fact that Loraine was the one behind this.
Upon hearing this, she immediately grew cautious. She swept a glance across the room subconsciously, trying to see if anyone was sneaking around to record her conversation with Culver. However, there wasn't anyone suspicious near them.
"Culver, I have to go," she said as she stood up.
"I'll walk you out." He also stood up.
"No, don't walk me out. I still am figuring out why Loraine did this. We should keep our distance. You can sit down, or you can leave first," she said.
