“I’m sure she wasn’t feeling sorry when she’s all up on my husband last night!”

When Alexandra finally married her childhood crush at the age of 25, she didn't expect that she would one day catch another woman in the arms of her husband while she hid in the bedroom closet. But there she was, anger, betrayal, and sadness washed over her all at once as she stared at her husband and the woman who had the same dark brown eyes and dark hair as her. They looked almost identical...?

That same night, she stumbled onto the beach and before she knew it, she was sitting across the table from her high school ex, Caleb, looking down at the terms of their marriage contract that he drafted up hastily. 

Fuelled by anger and betrayal by the people she once loved, Alexandra knew she had to take things into her own hands. Together with Caleb, they plot her revenge.

“Let’s go,” Caleb demanded as he grabbed Alexandra by her wrist without a warning, pulling her away from the chaos and out of the ballroom in a matter of seconds while both Ethan and Hannah watched them leave with a smug smile on their faces.

“Why are we the ones leaving?” Alexandra questioned, yanking her wrist out of his grasp as soon as they were out of their sight, just the two of them hidden behind a wall somewhere. 

Caleb let out a deep breath. “I have my reasons, Al. Trust me.”

“Well, they can’t just -”

“Hey, hey listen.”

He was now looking down at her with both hands on her shoulders as she had her back pushed up against the wall, their faces only a few inches apart. “What?” 

A smirk etched itself onto his face. “I promise they will regret everything they had said earlier.”

“How so?”

“You’ll find out soon.”

"How are you doing now?" Kathy asked with genuine concern evident in her voice as she reached her hand out to place gently on top of Alexandra's, a motherly look on her face. She was once in her position, and she wanted her to know that she would be there for her.

After receiving the surprising invitation out for brunch, Alexandra agreed to meet with Kathy. They sat across each other at the cafe and Alexandra tried her best to maintain a pleasant expression.

"I'm doing okay, thanks for asking. It's been tough but I guess I just have to deal with it," Alexandra responded as a cold chuckle emerged from her lips.

"I know how difficult it can get, but just know that I'm always here for you alright?"

Alexandra looked up at Kathy and their eyes met before she nodded with a small smile etched onto her face.

"Let me get you a drink. Latte?" Kathy asked as she stood up from her seat.
