When Alexandra finally married her childhood crush at the age of 25, she didn't expect that she would one day catch another woman in the arms of her husband while she hid in the bedroom closet. “Let’s go,” Caleb demanded as he grabbed Alexandra by her wrist without a warning, pulling her away from the chaos and out of the ballroom in a matter of seconds while both Ethan and Hannah watched them leave with a smug smile on their faces.

“Why are we the ones leaving?” Alexandra questioned, yanking her wrist out of his grasp as soon as they were out of their sight, just the two of them hidden behind a wall somewhere. 

Caleb let out a deep breath. “I have my reasons, Al. Trust me.”

“Well, they can’t just -”

“Hey, hey listen.”

He was now looking down at her with both hands on her shoulders as she had her back pushed up against the wall, their faces only a few inches apart. “What?” 

A smirk etched itself onto his face. “I promise they will regret everything they had said earlier.”

“How so?”

“You’ll find out soon.”

It was one of those extravagant weddings. The usual ballroom style. One that Alexandra had always dreamt of since she was a little girl. She wanted to feel like a princess for that day.

As Alexandra stepped into the place with her arm interlocked with Caleb's arm, a soft gasp of awe escaped her lips as she let her eyes wander around, soaking in the view right in front of her.

Gorgeous white flowers decorated the huge arch by the wedding altar and tables that lined the aisle, its faint aroma lingered in the cold air.

The beautifully hand painted renaissance inspired art filled every inch of the walls, stretching to the high ceiling above them and coming to a point in the middle.

A large crystal chandelier hung in the middle of the hall, the soft yellow glow illuminating the place. She loved the way it glistened under the sunlight that was coming through the tall windows that surrounded them, adding a beautiful touch to the place.
