When Alexandra finally married her childhood crush at the age of 25, she didn't expect that she would one day catch another woman in the arms of her husband while she hid in the bedroom closet. “Let’s go,” Caleb demanded as he grabbed Alexandra by her wrist without a warning, pulling her away from the chaos and out of the ballroom in a matter of seconds while both Ethan and Hannah watched them leave with a smug smile on their faces.

“Why are we the ones leaving?” Alexandra questioned, yanking her wrist out of his grasp as soon as they were out of their sight, just the two of them hidden behind a wall somewhere. 

Caleb let out a deep breath. “I have my reasons, Al. Trust me.”

“Well, they can’t just -”

“Hey, hey listen.”

He was now looking down at her with both hands on her shoulders as she had her back pushed up against the wall, their faces only a few inches apart. “What?” 

A smirk etched itself onto his face. “I promise they will regret everything they had said earlier.”

“How so?”

“You’ll find out soon.”

Elisha slid a piece of card across the table. Kelly looked down to see that it was a wedding invitation to Elisha's wedding with Caleb. Her eyes were fixed on the card for a while, examining the words printed across it when Elisha's voice broke her out of her little reverie, bursting the bubbles of thoughts that were starting to form in her head.

"You are invited to my wedding with Caleb."

"What?" Kelly muttered under her breath and she finally tore her gaze away from the wedding invitation lying on the table between them to meet Elisha's eyes.
