When Alexandra finally married her childhood crush at the age of 25, she didn't expect that she would one day catch another woman in the arms of her husband while she hid in the bedroom closet. But there she was, anger, betrayal, and sadness washed over her all at once as she stared at her husband and the woman who had the same dark brown eyes and dark hair as her. “Let’s go,” Caleb demanded as he grabbed Alexandra by her wrist without a warning, pulling her away from the chaos and out of the ballroom in a matter of seconds while both Ethan and Hannah watched them leave with a smug smile on their faces.

“Why are we the ones leaving?” Alexandra questioned, yanking her wrist out of his grasp as soon as they were out of their sight, just the two of them hidden behind a wall somewhere. 

Caleb let out a deep breath. “I have my reasons, Al. Trust me.”

“Well, they can’t just -”

“Hey, hey listen.”

He was now looking down at her with both hands on her shoulders as she had her back pushed up against the wall, their faces only a few inches apart. “What?” 

A smirk etched itself onto his face. “I promise they will regret everything they had said earlier.”

“How so?”

“You’ll find out soon.”

It was the next day when Ethan had came back to visit Alexandra at the hospital, hoping that she would forget about the little incident yesterday. He came in with a smile etched onto his face and a basket of all her favourite foods and snacks in his hand. It was sweet, but it didn't change the fact that he was foolish enough to cheat on her with her sister.

Their eyes met and her lips immediately twitched upwards into a smile. She had already conditioned herself to do so whenever she saw him around.

He continued to play the perfect boyfriend for her even after she learned about their divorce, completely omitting the fact that things weren't exactly going that great between them. Of course, he was still clueless about the fact that Alexandra had known everything since the day they met. She continued to let him believe that she and him were on good terms, all for the sake of her revenge.

"Hey, Ethan," she greeted with a coy smile.
