Pill

The night street echoed with the sound of fists hitting flesh and bones. Each punch found its mark on the unlucky guy. His muscles hurt, bones cracked, nose broken, and stomach torn.

The non-stop assault created a noisy scene, showing the brutal beating taking place in the dimly lit surroundings.

But the thug leader still stood tall and grinned like crazy. At this point, Asher thought he was dealing with a zombie.

'Could this be counted as self-defense?' he wondered, thinking about what would happen if he didn't stop and ended up killing this guy.

However, after seeing the pitiful appearance of the thug leader, he shook his head. There was no way anyone would believe that this was self-defense.

More like a one-sided beating that lead to murder.

Seeing the thug still coming, Asher stepped back, ready to defend himself.

The thug, despite his injuries, kept limping towards Asher, showing he wouldn't give up.

Asher sighed, "Forget it," and grabbed the plastic bag, running away.

The sounds of his running footsteps echoed in the dark sky as he distanced himself.

With the thug's limping, there was no way he could catch up.

THUD!

The thug finally succumbed to all the beating. He started breathing heavily as the effects of the blood enhancement wore off, and now the pain began to kick in.

"ARRGGGHHH!" he started screaming in agony as blood soaked his teeth.

He tried to stand up, but instead, he vomited more blood. His internal organs were damaged, and he would die if he didn't get medical help right away.

"H— Help me!" He mumbled some words between vomiting blood and trying to catch his breath.

From the electric pole, the red eye girl jumped and landed in front of him.

"P— Please... H— Help me," he pleaded, blood and snot mixing on his face.

The girl in front was not human, and he hoped that she had a way to save him.

But the red eye girl just looked at him. Her gaze held contempt and indifference, making it clear that his plea had fallen on unsympathetic ears.

"You're useless," the girl with red eyes sighed while shaking her head in disappointment. Her cold words hung in the air, "You're of no use to me anymore."

The thug leader felt anger rising within him. She was the one who caused all this trouble, and now he would be discarded just like that.

"Bitch!" He mustered all his strength to shout in anger.

"Is that your last word?" A sly smile crept onto the girl's lips.

All of a sudden, the thug leader's blood from started floating, getting pulled into a swirling circle in the air.

The thug screamed in horror as he saw his own blood being sucked away in real-time. He tried to asked for mercy but the girl cold red eyes made the whole scene even scarier.

Just like that, the thug turned into a lifeless dried body. His blood was now floating in the air.

"Compress," the girl whispered, and the liquid blood started to shrink until it turned into a solid pill.

The pill floated in her hands, and she began checking it. "I knew it, another trash pill," she sighed, seeing that the pill created from the thug's blood was worthless.

Regardless, she considered it as potential food, so she kept it.

"Now it's your turn," she looked at the two who were still knocked out on the ground.

Swiftly, she took their blood and turned it into a solid pill. The red essence floated weirdly before coming together in her hands.

Now she already had six low-quality pills; the other three were from the girls she killed before this. They had seen her face, so she had no plan to let them live in the first place.

After erasing her tracks by disposing of the body, she resumed walking, now dragging a black-wheeled luggage bag.

It was clear she had a place to go, as she didn't stop until she reached an old apartment building. The aged and rundown structure stood in front of her.

'The negative energy in this place is too thick,' she thought to herself. With her demon eyes, she could see that this building would bring misfortune to normal humans. No wonder it looked abandoned.

"Why is he living in a place like this?" she mused aloud.
