Unexpected Outcome

Asher, with his sharp senses, noticed the thug leader's attitude change. For the first time, he felt a little bit scared, like his gut was telling him this guy was trouble.

The thug's face looked weird, and Asher had a strong feeling that he was up against someone way stronger than his previous enemies.

'What's happening?' he wondered to himself, still observing what his enemy would do.

Subtly, he adjusted his footing, preparing himself for any sudden attack.

Asher might not have any professional fighting training, but his instincts guided him to position himself in a more advantageous stance

Slowly, he brought his arms up to shield his face, keeping his elbows close. His left foot stepped forward at a slight angle, and he bent his knee, ready to move quickly. Asher looked poised and ready, and the air felt tense.

The thug on the other hand started grinning manically as he observed Asher's defensive stance.

SWOOOSH

The thug leader charged ahead, his first step showing explosive power. It was like he'd been in countless brawls, and his movements were fast.

But Asher remained composed; overthinking would only lead to more trouble. His eyes locked onto his target like a hawk focused on prey. He was the predator, not the the other way around.

The thug threw the first punch, a wide hook to the face.

Asher managed to evade it, but the punch still grazed his blocking hands. Not letting the moment slip away, Asher saw an opening and launched a swift left jab at the thug's chin.

However, the thug agilely jumped backward, narrowly avoiding the blow but stumbling into the wall.

Seeing an opportunity, Asher closed the distance and unleashed a rapid one-two-three combo.

His first punch connected solidly, finding the thug's side. The second punch followed, a quick jab that landed on the thug's shoulder. The third punch, a powerful cross, hit the thug's guard, forcing him to stagger back.

But despite the combo landing, it seemed like the thug didn't even feel any pain; instead, he began fighting back.

'Is this guy on drugs?' Asher thought to himself. He was a hard hitter, and his enemy seemed to absorb his punches as if they were nothing.

The two continued their brawl, but it remained more in Asher's favor. His enemy's swings were fast and powerful, but Asher managed to adjust and dodge them.

Surprisingly, as the fight progressed, Asher became even more lethal. It was a natural effect ; having been unrivaled before, he had never been forced to go all out.

This time, he found himself breaking his own limits and adjusting to the escalating intensity of the battle.

Asher's punches became more precise, his movements refined.

Like a powerful predator, he relentlessly targeted the thug's weak spots—abdomen, cheek, chin.

While the thug might endure the barrage for now, there was no way he could outlast Asher's killer punches in the long run. Each strike was a calculated , and the tide of the brawl seemed to be turning in Asher's favor with every well-placed hit.

Top of Electrical Pole.

'How?' The girl with red eyes was shocked to see what was happening.

She had some of her power to the thug leader, granting him strength temporarily far beyond his own, but he was still being pushed to the corner.

The thug leader, empowered by her, should have been the one overpowering Asher and pounding him to the ground, not the other way around.

'Did my power not work?' she questioned herself. She couldn't find any explanation for this.

While it was true that her ability might not turn a human into an unbeatable fighting machine, it should have been sufficient to elevate an ordinary human to a heavyweight level in strength and a lightweight in speed.

Plus, with the added benefits of not feeling pain, the thug leader should have been able to endure being hit by a motorcycle and not be fazed, as her ability disabled fear and pain receptors.

'Then why does he look so pitiful right now?' the girl with red eyes wondered.

It would have been acceptable if the thug were fighting a demon with a core or a Hunter that had awakened, but no, she could not sense any of that energy emanating from Asher.

It was just him, using pure brute strength and unparalleled battle instinct.

'What am I looking at?' she smiled wryly.
