Gap

"Are we seriously sticking with this dude?" whispered one of James' lackeys.

They knew about Asher's reputation of being a good fighter, but they were envious because James had given him a lot of money. He got paid much more than them, even though he wasn't a full member of the gang.

It was a direct insult because it meant that James valued him more than them, despite their loyalty to the gang. Some of them didn't even receive a share of the gang's overall income, making things worst.

To add insult to injury, Asher was really handsome.

Their looks seemed to fade away when they were around him, and he didn't even try to stood out.

For comparison.

They had on new uniforms, shoes, and accessories, with styled haircuts and gel, but standing next to Asher in his worn-out clothing, they still looked like a bunch of nobodies.

"Hey, what about our classes?" Asher stopped and turned to them.

They were planning to speak out their minds to show him they weren't easily intimidated. However, they froze instantly at the sight of his cold stare. It was pretty scary to think that a guy who looked so good could have such an infamous reputation.

Asher was in a bad mood right now because he knew he had to hurt more people again. Even though he agreed with James for the money, he still had the right to be pissed off.

"Don't worry about the class, Boss James will handle it," one of the lackeys spoke up, realizing they should stop badmouthing Asher before they ended up getting beaten up.

"Good," Asher replied and continued his walk, they had to use another way to exit the school because the front gate would be too eye catching.

After strolling for a bit, they arrived at a small shack where the cleaning equipment are usually kept.

Using a large trash container as a makeshift step ladder, they worked together to climb up and over the wall, each member putting in effort to hoist themselves to the other side.

For Asher, he simply leaped from one wall to another, stunning all of them. He moved like an acrobatic expert, leaving them in awe of his nimble movements.

THUD

He landed perfectly on the ground, as if what he did was just an everyday thing.

"Lead the way," he ordered the lackeys, who were still amazed.

They became more confident after witnessing Asher's nimbleness. Maybe he could really tip the balance in this turf war.

"This way," one of the lackeys responded, his tone was now much more respectful.

Following the lackeys' lead, they walked through narrow alleys and quiet streets. Asher's presence made them all feel safe as they made their way.

After passing by the alley, they could feel the tension rising.

As they neared the border of their turf, they stayed alert, prepared to defend their territory if necessary.

And they didn't have to wait long.

In the distance, they spotted 12 people casually smoking. They wore a different uniform, pure black with green patterns on it.

"They're doing whatever they want!" One of James's lackeys scoffed.

They thought about attacking the rival group but held back because there were only six of them, including Asher.

"What's the plan ,Asher?" asked by one of the lackeys.

Asher remained silent, observing as the rival group spotted them and began grinning, taunting them with cocky gestures.

STEP

Asher took the lead, walking casually towards them. He couldn't just stand there and stare at them. He had to finish this job fast to get his money.

"This turf is ours now!" came the mocking shout from one of the opposing group members. His voice carried arrogance as he pointed to the ground beneath their feet.

Laughter bubbled from their lips, their smirks widening as they looked at Asher's group with disdain, clearly intending to humiliate them.

But Asher continued to close the distance between them until they were close enough to look eye to eye.

"How many of you are there?" Asher asked with an indifferent tone.

"Why, planning to surrender now that you see we outnumber you? We've got over 50 guys!" The speaker's tone dripped with a smug, clearly aimed at mocking them further.

The other members of Asher's makeshift group nearly lost their composure after hearing about the enemies overwhelming numbers. With James' group totaling only 20 members, they were outnumbered more than two to one.

"Only 50?" Asher sighed.

With only 12 enemies present, he realized he'd have to take them on alone if he wanted to maximize his profit.

"What the fuck are you talking about?" asked one of the enemy, confusion written across his face.

They had anticipated Asher's group to flee or surrender, but the disappointment in Asher's demeanor caught them off guard.

However before they could process what was happening , they saw the nearest person in front of Asher suddenly collapsed in the ground .

"What's going on?" they exclaimed in shock.

Asher throw a quick jab so fast that it took them a moment to realized what was happening.

"I'm busy, let's make this quick," Asher said, motioning for them to come at him.
