The heat of his kiss against my neck sent a shiver down my spine. His hands moved up to my face, caressing my cheeks and chin as his mouth moved across my skin, sending sparks of pleasure through me.

What was I thinking? Agreeing to help the princess with this insane plan of hers? 


As I headed to her suite to pick her up for our big “date,” I thought of all the reasons I could cancel or postpone. I could easily fabricate some business that I had to take care of. She was used to me brushing her off for work, right? 


It wouldn’t be too much of a surprise. 


Down the hall, I caught sight of Rex following Loral closely before he disappeared into her suite. I narrowed my eyes at the back of Rex’s head. 


Why was he always so close to her? Sure, he was her bodyguard, but it seemed like he was hanging around a little too closely. She didn’t seem to mind. If anything, it seemed like they had a decent relationship.
