Chapter 27: Into The Vision

The girls followed Noah deeper into the darker parts of the library, sporadically exchanging confused and concerned expressions.

“How much farther down in this place?” Veronika groaned. Noah gave back an exasperated sound but no real answer. Lucy continued to look at all the different books as they moved. Some seemed much more dangerous now: they were covered in chains and other precarious locks. Noah had said the books were somehow alive but this was beyond strange.

Finally, Noah took an abrupt turn down a narrow pathway. All the books here were dark with black covers. None of them had titles or descriptions that Lucy could see.

“These are the books on the war that went down. It explains what happened and all the new rules that were put in place. If there’s an answer to how to talk to the council it’ll be in here.” Noah then proceeded to pull sheer gloves from his pocket. They glittered, even in the dark and seemed to give off a faint mist.
