Classes started to seem surreal to Lucy but much more important. She needed to learn all she could in order to present her best self and her best defenses against the council. There was no denying now that they were coming and the threat was real. Despite Celeste’s assurances that things would more than likely turn out alright, Lucy still wasn’t sure what to make of her encounter with Aleksandr. Something about him and his attitude didn’t sit well with her.
“You want to go back to the library and research this guy, after he sensed you the first time and visited you in a vision?” Veronika exclaimed.
“I mean, it makes sense,” Noah argued as the three of them walked the halls towards the library. “Know thy enemy.”
