Ch 69: Matter manipulation & Item repair [2].

In the room of Rey, who was seated beside a small heap of arrows scattered around him, he was gazing at his system screen to view the next skill he had just acquired.

It was a passive skill he earned from his efforts, which added a certain amount of successful repair.

"Wow, a ten percent boost is quite high," he said, but Aiden just laughed at him for being so happy over such small grade-level skills. He knew that when he became stronger, his expression would also develop like those he knew.

"Okay, stop daydreaming and get back to work, quick," Aiden said as he pulled Rey out of his dream of obtaining high-grade skills.

Rey, after cursing him a bit in his mind, started to fix another arrow as time passed by until a few hours had passed.

~~~ A few hours later ~~~
The sky outside was getting dark as the sun was setting, the stars and moon were beginning to take their reign in the night. The night life in the city was also brimming at this time.
Now, Rey, who had been constantly using the ability, was becoming much more proficient. He could now easily repair a arrow in a few seconds and had even started to repair a few swords with only minor cracks.
His proficiency was also due to the new skill he had acquired a few hours ago, which he had been using constantly, reaching the end stage of the F+ realm.
On the brink of completing the final few percent and stepping onto the stage he eagerly awaited, Rey was repairing a large crack fifteenth sword blade. Just as the final crack closed, a light flashed from the wooden sword, and the second effect of his activated for the third time.
Yes, second effect of the skill, which strengthened the item by a 5% chance, occurred three times during his repairs—twice on arrows and the third time on the blade.
As he felt the difference in the blade just now, it gave the sensation of a normal blade, unlike those other that were too weak to use at the moment.
Even the notification from the system began to appear, indicating the skill was upgrading to another stage just after the light was shown.
"Oh, a new effect. Good, now I can even repair the durability of the items," Rey said as he saw the new description of the skill he was using.
He was sure that by the time he finished all the items, he might be able to raise this item repair skill to B or even A grade. As he was taking a break, he realized that the light outside was dim. He approached the window with his cramped leg after sitting in the same place for such a long time.
His legs were fully numbed, but he had a solution for this. He used his ability to increase the blood flow slightly in his legs.
[Blood manipulation], the ability to control the blood. He was confident that with this, he could relieve the numbness. He concentrated on using the ability to increase the blood flow from his heart to his legs. His legs started to feel better, but something went wrong with his control. The blood flow increased uncontrollably, causing him pain all over his legs. They turned red like tomatoes, and it felt like his veins were about to burst, his heart ready to explode like a balloon. Before something bad could happen, a snap sounded, and the veins that were ready to burst started to come back into shape.
"You fool what do you think you are doing using this ability with such lousy control?" Victor, sensing something amiss with his abilities, appeared in front of Rey, was gasping for air while lying on the floor, his whole body looking like a red tomato.
"So...sorry, I thought I would be able to use your abilities properly after a few attempts. But I didn't expect it to end up like this. I won't do it again for sure," Rey said with difficulty.
"This fool, be thankful that you didn't burst into pieces like what happened just now. You can't possibly use this thing now. I was thinking of letting you use it later, but after checking your body limits, I realized that you need at F Vitality and Endurance to get my signature skill," he said to him. Upon hearing the name of the signature skill, Rey's ears perked up.
"But wait, it's not the time yet. Just be diligent and maybe I can teach it to you," Victor said. After hearing this, Rey felt a little demotivated, but he knew that one day he would be able to acquire the skill on his own.
Rey was about to go to using his ability to repair the item when a knock came from the door.
Just as he was about to sit but stand up, and looked and summoned inventory to bring in all the items.
As the items started to get sucked into the inventory, another knock on the door with a voice.
"Son, are you awake? Open the door. What are you doing in there for so long?" asked as she tried to open the doorknob.
"Yes mom, I'm coming. I'm just putting away some stuff right now, please wait a few seconds," he said as he looked around to see if anything was left. After finding nothing he quickly opened the door.
Jasmine, who was waiting for the door to open, burst inside and started looking around but saw nothing.
"What were you really doing, right now?" she asked becoming suspicious.
"Nothing, mom, just studying and cleaning stuff."
"Okay, but why did you take so long to open the door?"
"Ah-Ah....ahmmm, yes, I was putting away the items when you called out and thought not to show you the waste lying around here, so I first cleaned it and then came to open the door."
"Hmmmm~~~! okay if you say so but come down right away as I have already prepared the food for you both so you can study after that."
She said as she was just about to go back when her eyes landed on something she became suspicious of.
"What is that thing over there?" She said while pointing toward the area, and Rey looked at the point she pointed toward.
His eyes nearly popped out from their sockets as the thing left was...
