"30 days of fun! 1st day begins the mugging, the 2nd the gunning, the 3rd now starts the cutting and the fourth is-" however this soft and psychotic voice would be hushed when-
"HEY! BE QUIET!" shouted a loud voice. It was late at night in the police station. Inside was Richard Parker, Jun and Mr.Nakyama who were all going over some of the White Rabbit files, along with pictures of the most recent crime scene. Richard's eyes momentarily went to Jun, who was reviewing the files involving the White Rabbit.
"You're better off saving the brain power, the White Rabbit has been a #1 priority for months. If no one can solve it now, what makes you think you can?" Richard asked "Brandon thought we could, but then he had to go and pull that stupid stunt...idiot." Jun said frustrated. Richard looked at her some more before turning his head away.
"Shes right, why Brandon? Why take on such a risky gamble? Did you expect to win...or maybe you wanted to fail. Wanted me here? How'd you know I would appear next on the block? Another guess.
..." Richard thought as he would then be brought back to a question before that he had. "Just who are you? White Rabbit?" He thought. Richard was able to guess nearly perfectly the face of any monster in his head except for one, but now that number has been extended to two. He knew it had to be because of something that had to do with the fluidity of which the White Rabbit was able to move through situations.
"He is capable of moving perfectly in and out even the most complex of problems. Has any loose ends? He solves them. Has any sort of evidence that may pertain to who he really is? Vanishes without a trace.
These sorts of moves, aren't capable of being done by a human being. A mistake would be made, sooner or later. Not only that, its difficult to hide emotions when doing things such as these...yet he is perfectly capable of even doing that. Unfortunately for him though-" Richard would be brought back to when he had all of Japan's populace ran through the computer and when he stopped at Kibe's face.
"...A machine doesn't look like a human." Richard thought as he then sat up and stretched his back. "The only way to determine what needs to be done, is to figure out a way to get him in a corner.
...Alright Brandon, you came the closest as Mr.Nakyama has told me...there is a method to your madness. So I'll be using that a bit here. Lets see how this goes." Richard thought as he then tapped on Mr.Nakyama's shoulder.
"Hm?"
"Can we talk for a minute?" asked Richard. "Sure." Mr.Nakayama replied as he and Richard walked away from the desk leaving Jun to go through things by herself. Eventually the two arrived in Mr.Nakyama's office.
"Alright, what did you want to discuss?" asked Mr.Nakayama.
"You came into contact with the criminal known as Alice right?" Richard asked, Mr.Nakyama nodded.
"...Yet you were shot when you two made eye contact. Meaning you know exactly who they are, who Alice is." Richard said.
"My report clarifies that my memory of that day is a bit fuzzy, getting shot will do that to you." Mr.Nakayama replied, "Yes, well tell that to the 2.8 hundred other victims of a shoot to the chest who can perfectly identify their assailant." Richard said with a more tough tone.
"I don't know what to tell you." Mr.Nakyama said as he folded his arms.
"Tell me the truth. I want to catch the White Rabbit just as much as you do. Trust me, I have better things to be focusing on." Richard said with a low tone. Mr.Nakyama stared at him. They both knew what this was, yet another gamble. Richard had to believe either Mr.Nakayama was working with the White Rabbit or was playing a card that no one else would have.
And Mr.Nakayama was thinking just the same thing about Richard. It was all a matter of who would prove to be of better use to them later on. Richard sighed as he threw up his arms, "Fine. Have it your way, I sure hope that...what did she call herself? Kat? Yea, I hope she can give me more than what you are." Richard said as he got ready to leave the room only for Mr.Nakayama to grab his shoulder.
"HOLD ON! Your really considering on talking to her? Shes insane, not to mention just a mindless thrill seeker." Mr.Nakayama said. "What not thrilling about this?" Richard asked, Mr.Nakayama didn't have an answer to that.
"Shit..." He thought. Richard looked at his eyes, "Thats why you haven't found him yet. You still cling to that decent bit of humanity left. While I can discard it if I need to. And I will, if I must." Richard thought.
"Maybe I'll even set her a bail if she proves to have the information I'm looking for." Richard said.
"Stop". Mr.Nakayama said, Richard looked at him. Mr.Nakayama then let go of Richard as Richard let go of the door.
"...Alright, I saw her." Mr.Nakayama said.
"Elaborate." Richard said as he sat down. Mr.Nakayama joined him and put his hands together as he leaned back in his seat.
"Alice is Mi Ouchi, shes a student at Sawa High near Ushin and Ginza. A pretty average looking girl, but truly. Shes as sick as the Alice case described her as." Mr.Nakayama said. Richard held a finger to his chin as he thought. His eyes looking across the ground, the carpeted floor acting like a map of Ushin and Ginza to him.
"So why haven't you arrested her? Why do you have this information just withheld?" Richard asked as Mr.Nakyama then got up and walked to his bookshelf. He pulled out the bible and then tossed it to Richard. He looked to him and gestured for him to open it. Richard would and would see it was a hollow book with new pages stapled into it. All of it was information Nori Kibe that wasn't accessible to the data base. Even going into where he likes to eat, when he does. Richard's eyes shot open.
"...H-How did you get this?" Richard asked.
"Mi has been working for me as a secret operative. She tell me what I want to know about Nori and I promise her another day of the sun." Mr.Nakayama. "Blackmail." Richard muttered.
"Yea."
"...You could lose everything. If so much as a hint of what your doing gets out. Your life is over." Richard said. Mr.Nakayama didn't say a word as Richard looked at him.
"...Do you believe that it really is Nori Kibe?" Asked Richard, "You said you also saw him as suspicious." Mr.Nakayama said as he gestured to Richard.
"Suspicious and being a straight criminal are two different things." Richard said. Mr.Nakayama looked away frustrated.
"I know its him." Mr.Nakayama said, Richard looked back to him. He had to tread carefully, this exactly what the White Rabbit wants, division. He and every half decent detective in this building knew that.
"I should report this, lead the White Rabbit off the scent of me being a potential enemy of interests so I can continue my work in the shadows. But we don't have time for that. With this damn IPOW coming up soon. Sedulity will have to go out the window. Time to act.
"...I believe you. However, I'll need to conduct my own analysis. Can never be too sure." Richard said as he put the book on the table and got up.
"What do you plan to do?" Mr.Nakayama asked. "Hmmm, I think I'll ask if he wants to play some video games." Richard said catching Mr.Nakayama off-guard. "E-Excuse me?" Mr.Nakayama asked confused.
"Can you go over the case files so far from what happened with the man at the hospital before? And when your done send them to me?" Richard asked. "Sure." Mr.Nakayama said as Richard thanked him before walking out of his office.
Elsewhere in the mental asylum known as Charlie's House for the mentally deranged. Inside there over 50 inmates. Each of them all having something differently wrong with them, or had been sent here due to how unstable they act. Inside it the cafeteria was booming with excitement, the guards looked down and threw the bars leading to the main area of the asylum.
A group of men were all surrounding one table where two people could be seen sitting down. Other inmates were simply eating their food not paying attention.
"So let me get this straight, you were once a cop, made a bet with the USA junkies, lost that bet and then wound up in a prison. Only to start acting like you were crazy, just so you could end up here with me? Sounds like dumb luck buddy." said the one inmate across the other.
"Just good guess work really." said the other one.
"And what was your name again?" asked the inmate. The other simply smiled as he then leaned forward.
"Names Brandon, Brandon Wright." said the inmate, the other one moved his fingers through his blue hair.
"And just what would someone like you, want with someone like me?" asked the inmate.
"Heh, news around the grapevine is that you know who the white rabbit is. That you could solve the whole thing. So I got curious, mind enlightening me? Takashi Otsuka." said Brandon as he and Takashi looked at one another across the table. Takashi folding his arms with a smirk and Brandon smiling at him as well.
