One Trouble After Another

"Mr. Ford, there's an issue at the company!"

Chris's grave tone sent a shiver through Nathan. He had been so preoccupied with family matters that he had inevitably neglected the company.

"Speak!"

Chris quickly summarized the situation. "I just received news that the Westside development project, which was heavily backed by the city, has suddenly lost its support. We invested a lot of capital to secure that land, and without the city's backing, achieving our projected outcomes will be extremely difficult. We might not even be able to start construction. With our funds tied up and no liquidity, the company could face a financial crisis."

Nathan felt a sharp pang in his temples. This unexpected news meant that a potentially lucrative investment was now at risk, with funds frozen in the process. Just as he thought things couldn't get worse!
