Invitation

Regardless of whether the person in front of him was truly Ava, Nathan knew he couldn't act rashly. Suppressing his discomfort, he smiled at Ava.

"Ava, I just spoke with Ethan. I'll be taking the baby back home tomorrow. Would you like to come with me?"

No matter what, keeping her close was the best way to confirm his suspicions. The closer he could observe her, the better.

Fake Ava hadn't expected things to go so smoothly and felt a surge of joy. However, she maintained a facade of concern, her delicate face showing a hint of hesitation.

"But… we're already divorced. Wouldn't it be inappropriate for me to go to your house?"

Nathan's eyes flashed with something unreadable, his voice becoming even softer as he gently pulled fake Ava into his arms. "It's only a matter of time. Or are you saying you don't want to come with me?"
