Chapter 4 Flirting with A Man in Front of Her Ex-husband

Through the glass door of the private room, the man inside stared outside with cold, piercing gazes at the woman stumbling around.

"Mr. Barron, Elaina was doing well abroad. It's only for you that she came back. Don't you have anything to say?" Elaina's agent, Faye Guerra, noticed that he was distracted and couldn't help feeling dissatisfied.

"Faye... don't say that. I did it willingly," Elaina smiled gently, "I don't want Ambrose to be unhappy because of me."

"What are you talking about? He divorced his wife for you. You two should get married soon and have children so you can resume filming as soon as possible." Faye joked.

Ambrose seemed to ignore them but suddenly heard a loud noise outside the door through the restless music. Emotions surged within him.

‘She falls down?’ He stood up abruptly, and the private room instantly fell silent. The man remained quiet and then walked out quickly.

Faye frowned, "What's wrong with him? Couldn’t he have someone else, could he?"

"Don't talk like that about Ambrose. I believe in him," Elaina said, watching him walk away and biting her lip.

--

Bonnie washed her face and instantly felt refreshed. She was leaning against the wall, applying makeup when a strong hand grabbed her wrist.

She looked up in surprise, "Amb... Mr. Barron?"

She changed the way of calling him to remind them of their current relationship.

"Is it because of him that you divorced me?" Ambrose stared coldly at her.

"You're wrong. He's my new boyfriend," Bonnie's wrist hurt from being gripped tightly. She was irritated and wanted to shake him off, but he pressed her against the wall even harder.

"I'm asking you," he demanded.

She hesitated.

Living with Ambrose for five years, let alone touching him, she couldn't even touch his clothes without him complaining they were stained by her. Now he was grabbing her.

It was ridiculous.

Bonnie sneered, "Mr. Barron, are you in love with me?"

Ambrose's face darkened immediately, "What nonsense are you talking about?"

"It's better if you aren't," she took advantage of his distraction to push him away and wipe the smile off her face, "because I don't love you anymore. Your love for me now will only be a burden."

‘A burden...’ Ambrose felt like he had heard those words before. As he thought about it carefully, he realized that they were the same words he had said to her years ago.

He had pushed the woman crying in his arms away with a cold face, and his sharp words were like knives, "Bonnie, your obsession with me is only a burden."

Bonnie put her lipstick back in her bag and turned to leave, only to run into an acquaintance.

Sensing the intense gaze behind her, she spoke softly, "Mr. Ellis, would you mind giving me a hand?" and embraced him.

Dariel seemed a bit slow to react, but he chuckled lightly at the sight of the fierce stare behind them and played along, "Still feeling uncomfortable?"

The woman in his arms responded tenderly, making him feel tingling all over.

He looked at the door that slammed shut as the other person left.

Bonnie naturally heard it too and silently let him go, saying "Thank you."

"No problem. You can count on me for this kind of thing in the future," Dariel said nonchalantly. But before he could finish, he noticed that the woman was looking down, seeming a bit off.

"This bastard..." Bonnie gritted her teeth with a misty look in her eyes. She was not a saint; how could she be indifferent to her own divorce?

Ambrose, this bastard, had been married to her for so many years and didn't even want to touch her. As soon as they divorced, he couldn't help but declare his bizarre possessiveness. Wasn't he just laughing happily with Elaina a moment ago?!

Taking a deep breath, the woman regained her composure and looked up, "Let's go."

Dariel, who had wanted to comfort her, was stunned by how quickly she changed her mood. He saw her walking away and kindly offered, "Do you need a ride?"

"No, thank you."

Looking at Bonnie's calm eyes, Dariel's heart was hit by something and rebounded strongly. ‘This woman is truly remarkable...’
