Chapter 5 Maggie Made a Rule for Louis

After hearing what Carson said, everyone present had their own thoughts. They all looked at Maggie, waiting for her to speak.

Louis looked over with a calm expression on the side.

Maggie raised her eyes with a calm expression. She looked at Louis and blinked. She shook her head while staring at Louis all the time.

She lowered her head and typed on her phone. After that, she held up her phone.

"No. I want him."

Maggie liked this man very much.

She thought he was very good-looking and belonged to her.

Carson was slightly taken aback. It seemed that he hadn't expected such a situation. Then, he found it a bit interesting and spoke happily.

"Okay, okay. I won't break it off."

"Grandpa!"

Capri stomped her feet and said displeasedly, "She just returned to this family and doesn't know Louis at all. Besides, you have to ask Louis if he is willing!"

She thought the current strength of the Noble family surpassed that of the Adams family by a lot, so Louis definitely wouldn't have an eye on Maggie, a hoyden.

Louis put down his cup, looked at Maggie indifferently, and said calmly, "Since it was decided by my father, I can't refuse it."

As soon as he finished speaking, everyone present was startled.

Louis was the real ruler of the Noble family. How could there be anything that he couldn't call the shots?

His meaning was already very obvious. He recognized this marriage.

"Louis!" Capri said in disbelief. "How... how could you be with the hoyden?"

"Capri!" Braxton interrupted her sharply.

Capri bit her lips, feeling aggrieved. Then, she looked at Maggie with jealous eyes.

She didn't agree to get Maggie back all the time! Since Berg had been dead, she didn't think it was necessary to get back Maggie who had been outside for so many years!

Maggie was not interested in the reactions of these people from the Adams family. And she was not surprised at Louis' reaction.

No matter whether he agreed or not, she wanted him.

She had an eye on him, so she would rather choose to keep him.

Maggie's eyelashes drooped slightly. She lowered her head to type on the phone.

[Grandpa, I'm tired.]

Carson nodded immediately. "Alright, go up and have a rest. Your room has been well-prepared."

Maggie blinked, picked up her black suitcase, and went upstairs.

The servant on the side immediately stepped forward to help her carry the suitcase.

After walking two steps, Maggie paused and turned to look at Louis who was sitting on the sofa.

As if thinking of something, she turned around and walked up to him. She lowered her head to type on the phone and then handed it to him with a calm expression.

Louis raised his eyebrows slightly and took the phone.

There was only one line on it.

"You are mine, so remember to behave yourself."

Louis was surprised.

"Do you know what you're talking about?" Louis narrowed his eyes slightly and raised them to look at Maggie in front of him.

It was the first time someone dared to speak to him like this.

Maggie didn't think there was any problem at all. She blinked her clear eyes, looked down at the words she had typed, and nodded.

Louis' eyes slightly froze. He stared at Maggie in front of him for a few seconds. Then, he smiled and spoke coldly.

"Okay."

...

The servant led Maggie upstairs.

The room that Carson arranged for her was on the second floor. There was powder blue wallpaper, a soft and exaggerated princess hammock, and white light lace curtains.

It could be seen that the room was carefully arranged and decorated based on a young girl's preferences.

Maggie glanced at it. Her eyes were dull, and her face was expressionless.

For her, the bedroom was for sleeping. She just needed a bed.

Maggie opened the black suitcase. Only a few things were inside. Besides a few pieces of clothing, there was a computer.

After returning to the Adams family, she found that many things were different from what she had imagined.

She thought she already knew everything after looking through the information about her parents that she had collected.

But judging from the attitudes of Carson and the others of the Adams family, she could guess that something was behind her parents' severing ties with the Adams family and the car accident later.
