Chapter 21

I took in the details of the room and gasped at how grand it was. It was easily bigger than twice the size of my own room. The walls were a light shade of gray, almost identical to that of my room. Sitting in the middle of the back wall, was a king sized bed. The headboard that sat behind it was bigger than I could have ever imagined, making the bed appear bigger than it actually was. I didn't get to take in the rest of the room because my mother called out to me.

"Come sit." She was sitting in the middle of the grand bed, patting the covers that layed before her. I didn't hesitate to move toward her. My fingers were itching to feel the soft material of the covers. As I sat down, I sighed. I felt as if I was sitting on a cloud.

"Why did you come up here right after?" I asked, not wanting to seem weird for admiring the texture of the covers.
