Chapter 14

Later that evening, the rest of the Dark Moon Pack and I were sitting at the grand dining table, just eating steamy steaks peacefully when I noticed something. I never got to meet Gordon's dad. As I looked around the table, I noticed one spot beside Analia was empty. I saved the question for later. In the beginning I was avoiding asking the question since no one brought him up but I know I should be asking.

Surprisingly, Gordon did not have any pack business to take care of so he was in the room as well, eating soundlessly. When Gordon is not with us in the dining room, everyone is all talkative that I can't even hear myself, but today when Gordon finally chose to join us, the room is pin silent. I almost wanted to shout with anger. The afternoon did not falter from my head for even one bit, and whenever me and Gordon would exchange glances, my body would shudder with anger.
