Kunikida had shown up to a silent apartment, walking in with the spare key he had been given for his teaching job. He closed the door and locked it behind him. "Nakahara-san?"
After some shuffling and a bang a very tired looking Chuuya poked his head out of his bedroom door. "Is it that time already?" he asked and looked over at the man with blonde hair. "I'm sorry, I'll get me and Miyo dressed and then prepare breakfast." Chuuya went back into the bedroom to get ready.
Kunikida didn't correct him on his wording, he felt bad enough as it was waking them up. "It's fine, take your time, Nakahara-san."
Chuuya came back out once Kunikida had finished setting up his work station for the day. The ginger smiled and walked into the kitchen while Miyo came running out. "Oji-kuuna!!" They had a meeting once a week and this child seems to have gotten attached to him at the current moment.
"Konichiwa Miyo." He said with a hum, helping her to sit at the table. "Did you sleep well?"
"I did! Mama and I cuddl-ed all night!!" The girl was quite energetic when she first woke up, nothing like the half awake Chuuya who looked like he was going to fall asleep cooking.
"We fell asleep about two in the morning.." Chuuya grumbled and rubbed the side of his head, plating up whatever he had been cooking. "Would you like some coffee, Kunikida-sensei?"
Chuuya didn't mind referring to the blonde as 'teacher' ; it would help Miyo get into calling him during class time. "No thank you, Nakahara-san." The blonde responded, just getting a nod in return.
"Oji-Kunna…" Miyo tugged on his arm. "Can watch movie today?"
Kunikida hummed, shaking his head. "That's next week." He said gently as a plate with a toasted-cheese and ham sandwich (its cut up into bite sized pieces) was placed before her. "You need to eat your breakfast before we start today."
Chuuya sighed and sat down, sipping his coffee "I'm going on a mission with Dazai today, could you do me a favour and stay around until I get back? You can order food with my card if you want." Chuuya sipped his coffee again, Spero coming out of nowhere and sitting beside Miyo.
"Who's this?" Kunikida asked, with a raised brow.
"Service dog, his name is Spero." Chuuya muttered, still thinking about how much hell he was going to be in today since he was going to see Dazai for most of the day. "He doesn't bite but he is quite clingy. He's still adjusting… we picked him up yesterday."
Kunikida nodded with a hum, today was going to be a long day, for the both of them.
*****
Chuuya stumbled through the front door, sighing heavily. Ever since he had taken Miyo in he didn't drink after missions with Dazai, but him stumbling through the door was caused by the sleeping Dazai on his back. The burnett hadn't told Chuuya where he lived, so now Dazai was having a 'sleepover'.
Miyo poked her head into the hallway from the living room, a bright smile on her face "mama!!" She squealed. Kunikida poked his head out as well. Chuuya was surprised the man had actually stayed.
Chuuya hummed "It's past your bedtime, darling." He dropped Dazai onto the floor and crouched down, rubbing her cheeks, whipping the chocolate off. "Did you eat chocolate?"
The girl held up a mug "coco milk!"
Chuuya smiled softly "go sit on the couch and finish your milk." The girl did as she was told, Kunikida starting at Dazai. "He wanted a 'sleepover with his wifey and baby' or something, I wasn't paying attention to the bully shit he was sprouting."
"Would you like me to take him?"
Chuuya shook his head with a laugh. "Nah, it's okay I can just put him on the couch."
The blonde nodded and left, stepping around the man in the doorway. Chuuya, too lazy and tired to walk back over to Dazai, used his ability to pick him up and to close the door. Over the past three months Dazai had been staying over almost every night
Miyo had started to call him 'dad' about a month ago. Chuuya took Dazai to the bedroom and dropped him on the bed, getting changed himself and walking back to the living room so he could hug his daughter.
He didn't know why or what but something was giving him a bad feeling.
He didn't want to leave Miyo alone at the moment, however even with everything one does it does not always go as you plan.
