Welcome, Little Treasure: Introducing Li Zhixin, AKA Fubao

The old lady Li cradled the baby lovingly, her face radiating a smile akin to a blooming flower. "Jianlin, Xiujuan, you both went to junior high school, have some education. You must carefully consider the name for your daughter. It must be a good one!"

The names of their previous four sons were chosen from the ancient "Six Classics" of "Books of Poetry, Li Yi Le Chun Qiu", and the family was thoroughly satisfied. This time, Mrs. Li emphasized the importance of the name selection even more.

As Li Chengyuan sat on the bed, feeding Lin Yanfen and sipping chicken soup, he proposed, "Xiujuan and I thought about it. Since our girl is like a little treasure, we've decided on the name Li Zhixin, with the nickname Fubao. Xiujuan suggested it; this baby is a real blessing. Initially, we thought she might not make it, but she came into the world safely. Plus, she's the treasure of our entire family, so Fubao suits her perfectly!"

"Li Zhixin, Fubao? Sounds wonderful. We'll go with that. How blessed I feel hearing it!" Mrs. Li exclaimed joyfully.

In an effort to cooperate, Fu Bao opened her eyes, revealing a pair of enchanting, grape-like orbs that captivated everyone.

"Ah, our sister opened her eyes!"

"She's so beautiful! Mom, let me hold her; you're hogging her!"

Excitedly, the four boys surrounded Mrs. Li, vying for a chance to interact with their new sister.

"Don't pull me, you rascals! If you make me drop Fubao, you're in big trouble!" Mrs. Li playfully scolded, carefully lowering Fu Bao so the young ones could take a peek.

With their home suddenly graced by the presence of a little girl, the boys couldn't contain their excitement, eager to touch her tiny face and grasp her delicate hand.

"My sister's hands are so small. When will she grow bigger?" Five-year-old Li Xiaolei mused with childlike innocence, forgetting his own age.

Despite the crowd, Fu Bao remained unafraid, gazing at them with curious, intelligent eyes and occasionally flexing her tiny fists, melting the hearts of her family members.

Mrs. Li yearned to shower Fu Bao with kisses, but the baby was too delicate to overwhelm.

Determined to provide the best for her long-awaited granddaughter, Mrs. Li resolved to nurture and cherish her, even in the face of financial hardship.

Seated with Fu Bao nestled in her arms, Mrs. Li addressed Li Chengyuan solemnly, "Jianlin, you've spent enough time at home helping Xiujuan with the childbirth. Now that the baby is born, you'll find a job in the county town tomorrow. I'll take care of Xiujuan and the children. You focus on work and earning money to support our family."

Putting down the bowl after feeding Lin Yanfen, Li Chengyuan agreed wholeheartedly, "I understand, Mom. I'll head to the county town first thing tomorrow morning, no matter the job. Providing for the family comes first."

Glancing at him with concern, Lin Yanfen urged, "Don't overexert yourself. If it's too strenuous, don't push yourself too hard. I don't want to see you exhausted. Once I'm out of confinement, I'll also find work to lighten the load. We'll share the responsibilities."

"Don't worry!" Li Chengyuan waved it off confidently, flexing his muscles to demonstrate his strength. "I'm strong; I won't tire easily. But you, take it easy after confinement. Your health is paramount. Rest whenever you can."

As Fu Bao blew a tiny spit bubble in the arms of Mrs. Li, she couldn't help but marvel at her parents' loving bond, feeling a pang of loneliness as a singleton who had spent eons alone in heaven!
