Aisha now looked to be a very sophisticated individual who was in the throes of extravagant bed chambers. She looked at the shadows with a neutral expression as the chuckles continued annoyingly. The same man from before exited the shadows with a sly grin on his beautiful face.
"Aisha, do my nightmares still plague an absolute existence such as yourself, I feel pity. Your mental fortitude is so lacking that you expose your body to mortals in the name of torture.
"You are interrupting my sleep. Leave before I break your illusion forcefully."
"Oh? My dear Aisha is so grown now. I'm proud of your progress over the years, so lead this place with a smile on your face and maybe you can kill me for good this time. Ciao!"
The man left in a puff of smoke as the scenery shattered once more before Aisha fell through an endless abyss. She was calm as she opened her eyes before narrowing them and vanishing.
...
"...y Lady! My Lady!"
I felt someone screaming in my ear while shaking me very annoyingly. I told them to shut up while I gathered my thoughts from the disorienting nightmare.
"My Lady, thank goodness you're awake. We were worried since you woke up later than usual today."
I waved Trisha away as I walked to my bathroom to take a long soak to wash away this striking headache. I didn't care about Oscar's eyes as I let my dress fall to the ground before soaking in the cold water. The water must have become cold since I took a while to wake up, but I didn't care and submerged my head underwater.
"Naomi, bring me a headache elixir, my head is killing me."
My words came out muffled from the water, but she heard me and hastily left to get the elixir with Oscar in tow while Trisha stayed by my side for any orders. I stayed underwater for a few minutes before emerging and waiting to get washed. While Trisha scrubbed my body gently yet thoroughly, I was in deep thought regarding my nightmare.
I unusually have an absence of dreams whenever I sleep and this condition has plagued me since birth, but I never paid much attention to it, until my nightmares started appearing. I have been having these nightmares since I started my training a century ago. I found it weird since they only appeared after training, but I paid no mind to it.
These nightmares continued for years until they suddenly stopped. In return for these nightmares though, I started seeing this person whenever I slept. He claimed to have been with me since my birth, but he never identified himself, even on the verge of death. His appearance annoyed me, but I had more things to worry about.
Naomi brought in the elixir with confusion etched on her face. I couldn't blame her since I never fall prone to such ailments, but that man found a way to inflict damage on me. I took it slowly hoping for results, but my body rejected the elixir since it wasn't potent enough to bypass my system and heal me forcefully. I felt anger at my pain since I hadn't felt pain in more than twenty years, but I ignored it and made my way to the throne room to tend to my audience.
People belittled my ability as a ruler due to my race and thus refused to associate themselves with me, but that would all change in a matter of time. The people who visit are those from the nearby village, but their population is quite low, resulting in a very scarce audience in my throne room which has left me frustrated, but I needed patience as a ruler in this vile world.
They all asked for resources to improve their living conditions, so my work was quite fast, compelling me to finally take action against the rebellious leaders under me. I already had the Slarius kingdom under me, but the others had gotten too brave, so I had felt the need to set them straight.
