The Oracle's Curse

My days as a queen had gone by with no problems apart from the rulers of the various kingdoms who refused to take orders from a succubus. My initial thought had been to send Oscar or Naomi to persuade them, but they would not be able to defend themselves if things went awry. My financial situation had finally stabilized, but I was starting to accumulate anger at the kingdoms' stubbornness.

I often spent my days in my throne room or office tending to matters that others cannot, or rather, do not have the privilege to do so. My duties had strayed me from my planned training schedule so my body had gone stiff from my lack of action, but my hard work paid off, so I finally had time to utilize my training room.

My training room was powered by my magic power and was personalized to handle a small output of my power. Currently, Oscar, Naomi, Trisha and Morgan, a man I recently hired to tend to battle-related matters, were all in a battle-ready stance while I merely had my hands by my side.

Morgan stood beside Oscar as a supporting character while Naomi and Trisha were separated to properly utilize their abilities. My aura could be interpreted as a tranquil pond but with vast powers hidden underneath, and that instilled a sense of fear in them, something I didn't need sight to comprehend. They all took steady breaths as though to mask their presence, but I could still sense them.

As I stood there, Trisha vanished into a gust of air before appearing in front of me with a punch aimed at my face. I stood there with no change of expression as the punch neared, but the punch never arrived. I instead felt an object on my back with a powerful force attempting to push it deeper. As Trisha continued with her futile attempt, Oscar circled me at breakneck speeds while Morgan flung large amounts of throwing knives at me. By some incredulous force, they followed Oscar as they created a makeshift vortex, engulfing me in a sea of sharp metal.

I felt them all scratch against my skin as Oscar continued his onslaught. Naomi was not idle on the other hand as she was draining large amounts of mana from me to weaken me while transferring it to Oscar's body, giving him the effect of increased speed. All of this happened in only a few seconds but despite the onslaught of attacks on me, I stood idly with the same composed look as my hair and clothes flailed behind me.

I felt the four cease their attacks after 30 seconds of continuous bombardment. As they stood with sweat glistening on their foreheads and breaths haggard, I merely walked towards them as they showed a look of complete shock at my unscathed appearance. They attempted to create distance between us, but they seemed to struggle with the movement of their bodies. I stopped in front of them in a very calm manner before speaking in a low voice:

"I appreciate your efforts, but I didn't hire weaklings."

Their expressions morphed into those of fear as my eyes slowly opened, revealing white eyes with a beautiful glint in the light, but these beautiful eyes were the worst part of their day. The four stared into my eyes before falling limp and convulsing madly as blood started pouring out of their eyes and ears while foam exited their mouths. They were still conscious as this happened, but any attempts to cease this attack were futile.

The ability I used on them is an ability I dread with all my heart, but one I still cherish so dearly. This is a technique known as [The Oracle's Curse] and it is an ability that I regret creating. It is an ability that has all things that possesses a great deal of power and should not be used lightly.

[The Oracle's Curse] grants me the power of destruction but at a cost. My existence was a threat to the demigods of the [Upper Plane] and they wanted to rid of me, but the demigods are beings that go against violence and strive for peace throughout the world, but they failed, leading to them creating a separate realm above our world for those who have achieved enlightenment and reached heights almost impossible to reach.
