The demigods' yearning for peace may have spared me from their wrath, but it certainly didn't save me from the havoc they wreaked in my life. They bore animosity to any beings that could threaten their position at the peak. I was prophesied to have the power to destroy realms with a swipe of my hand, but the demigods made my life a living hell to prevent me from finding out about it.
That is where [The Oracle's Curse] enters the equation. They made me blind in an attempt to disable me for life, but Heimdall's teachings led me to create a technique which allows for sight, just not the ordinary kind. [The Oracle's Curse] enables me to see past the laws of the world and peer into existence as a whole. It allows me to perceive the future, and instill malicious conditions upon a person or outright kill them by merely opening my eyes. This curse is suppressible, but it takes effort to do so and it takes me more than the curse itself.
This curse has broken me more times than I would like, but I always came back on the brink of shattering so that I could finish what Heimdall started and kill those hypocritical beings in the [Upper Plane].
This curse was what caused the condition of my servants in a second. I closed my eyes after a few seconds of torture, before staring them down as they tried healing themselves to rid of the pain, albeit with great struggle. They looked up at me with fear in their eyes as they backed off before immediately bowing.
"We apologize for our incompetence my lady, we deserve to be punished!"
I didn't reply as I left the room with steady steps while gesturing for Morgan to follow behind me. The others stood waiting for orders but left too when they realized that I stopped powering the room.
I kept a steady pace with Morgan staggering behind me as I made my way to my office. As I opened the door, I saw the same maid who often tended to my room when I was absent, Melora. I dismissed her as before sitting and facing Morgan with my usual calm facade.
Morgan was a beautiful man who belonged to the dark elf race and possessed their signature beauty and pointed ears. He often dons a skin-tight suit that he wears under his armour and it accentuates his defined muscles. His face was sharp and showed signs of a battle-hardened warrior and his current appearance made it seem like he had gone through an entire battlefield.
"Morgan, I weakened myself to your level while having my mana constantly drained through by the training room and yet you failed to damage me. How will you enter the Divine Gymnasium with that level of skill."
"My Lady, I deserve to be punished for this level of incompetence. I have disappointed you and put shame on the Royal Household."
As he continued speaking, I felt frustration rising but kept it on the low. I felt anger at him claiming to be a part of my household when Trisha was my only family but I couldn't let my emotions get a hold of me in front of a subject.
"I want those idiots to be in my castle by the end of the week or I will decrease the underworld's population by a large amount."
Morgan showed no reaction to my response and left to send a message to the rulers of the various kingdoms. When the door closed I let out a sigh that contained a lot of stress before ordering a maid to prepare a bath and a meal despite the time. I spent a lot of time in the water as it eased my tense muscles and kept my mind off of this kingdom.
I exited the bath after washing myself before leaving the castle through the balcony and going to the highest mountain peak. I wanted to build my castle on the mountain range I entered secluded training on, but most of my servants cannot work in such environments so I had to settle for the one I want now.
I had always loved the tranquillity of the cold night as I looked up at the stars despite my blindness. I couldn't see them, but I liked letting my mind wander as I imagined how they looked.
