The Night Has Come, and kermesinus moon ascends in the sky.
Hoarse whispers flow at the street corners, and brass steam machines spew out bloody mist.
Your brain is singing a hymn, eyes are chanting a melody.
Skin cracks, and flesh buds swell.
Amidst the Mist, the wall of flesh that has devoured thousands of corpses wails endlessly—
"Weep not, our players don't bite, they just want to play with you."
Annan, the lone strategist, the top player, the savior of the mist-covered continent, the leader of the Thirteen Saints, the friend of the Twelve True Gods, the king of pioneers, "the Just", the Gatekeeper of the Fourth Calamity, the uncrowned deity, advised kindly.

Annan felt a bitter pain in his heart but he couldn't express it. 


He was somewhat worried that if he revealed the fact that "Husky's soul is actually male" at this moment, perhaps Isaac might rage with embarrassment and end up disliking Husky instead.


After all, Isaac's current attitude towards Husky was quite positive.


Being nagged at was not a big deal for him, as he had long grown used to it. But Husky, though seemingly optimistic and cheerful on the surface, was essentially naively happy rather than truly joyful.


Underneath that enthusiastic and cheerful facade lay hidden a sense of isolation.


Indeed, among the two of them… it was Husky who struggled to easily make friends.


That was why Annan had friends everywhere over the years… whereas Husky, despite seeming carefree and able to blend in with anyone, hardly made any friends other than Annan.


—Perhaps this was why Husky had created a beautiful female persona for himself.
