Dylan adjusted the magnification of the telescope and carefully observed the monkeys.
Then, to Dylan's astonishment, he found that two monkeys were one-star mutants, and were two-star mutants.
The largest one, presumably the monkey king of this group, was unexpectedly a three-star mutant.
Impressive!
Encountering a mutant monkey group was quite a surprise.
Dylan was overjoyed;
in his eyes, these were crystalline cores.
With these, he could elevate the abilities of his team members.
However, the only concern was the creature in the warehouse, which sounded like a tiger. He wondered if it was a mutant.
Dylan was puzzled; how could there be so many animals appearing here? He looked around with the telescope and suddenly understood when he saw the Bluewater Bay Zoo.
Ah!
This freight station was adjacent to the zoo. No wonder there were so many monkeys; they must have escaped from the zoo.
With this realization, Dylan's eyes lit up.
The zoo?
There should be plenty of animal mutants there, right?
This was fantastic!
As long as they were mutants below five stars, Dylan could easily handle them.
The more crystalline cores he obtained, the more beneficial it would be for the strength of his team.
Dylan decided that after clearing out the mutants in the freight station, he would definitely visit the zoo.
Feeling upbeat, Dylan put away the telescope and said to Hannibal, "Hannibal, go lure those monkeys from the warehouse for me."
The reason Dylan wanted those mutant monkeys lured over was that he was worried about the mutant in the warehouse.
If so many monkeys feared it, then the mutant in there must be even stronger.
Upon hearing the command, Hannibal didn't hesitate and rushed into the freight station.
Now, in Dylan's eyes, he was like a brother.
He did whatever Dylan said without question.
Moreover, with his physique boosted by a hundred years of time energy, not only could he run fast, but his endurance was also exceptional.
Such trivial matters were nothing to him.
He ran straight to the warehouse area and soon arrived nearby.
Hannibal stopped near the group of monkeys and picked up a chunk of ice from the ground, hurling it at the leading monkey king.
This move worked like a charm, immediately drawing the full attention of the monkey group.
The monkeys turned all their focus onto Hannibal, gnashing their teeth and wildly flinging whatever they could grab at him.
Hannibal didn't engage in combat with them, instead turning around and running.
Seeing Hannibal flee, the monkey king immediately commanded the group to chase after him.
Their speed was no less than Hannibal's. If not for the distance between them, Hannibal might have already been caught up.
As Hannibal reached the door, Dylan and the others suddenly revealed themselves.
The group of monkeys, upon seeing so many people, became alert and attempted to scatter and flee.
Dylan wouldn't give them that chance.
He slowed down time with his ability, causing all the monkeys' movements to decelerate.
Dylan then ruthlessly approached with his knife, initiating a slaughter.
In the eyes of the others, within just a few breaths, Dylan had decimated the entire group of mutant monkeys. He didn't hesitate to extract all the nuclei from the monkey heads and put them in his own pocket.
To the astonishment of everyone, Dylan had Hannibal start attracting the zombies outside the warehouse onto the open ground.
Then everyone pitched in to clear out the zombies.
Afterward, they dug out all the crystals and handed them over to Dylan.
Even Louise didn't hoard any crystals, but handed them all over as well.
Dylan was somewhat surprised and said, "You can keep these for yourselves."
But Louise smiled and said, "We agreed, we only want 30% of the resources, the rest is yours."
Nodding, Dylan didn't hesitate either, and directly took the crystals.
Then, he directed everyone to spread out and walk toward the middle of the warehouse.
When they reached a distance of 30 meters from the warehouse door, Dylan signaled for everyone to stop.
He called out to Jodie, "Jodie, play your flute and see if you can attract the mutants inside."
"Okay!"
Jodie was obedient and brought the flute to her lips.
The beautiful sound of the flute filled the air, playing "Two Tigers."
Sure enough, after Jodie played for a while, roars could be heard coming from inside the warehouse again.
Immediately after, two large tigers appeared at the warehouse door.
Sharp-eyed Dylan could already see the twinkling stars in their foreheads.
Two three-star mutant tigers.
However, these two mutant tigers didn't seem to lose themselves because of Jodie's flute.
Seeing so many people outside, they suddenly gleamed with excitement and pounced towards them.
They probably hadn't eaten meat in a long time, and seeing so many fresh humans, they were excited.
However, they underestimated the strength of these humans.
Just as one of them leaped, preparing to pounce on the crowd, blades flashed.
The two large tiger heads flew out directly, and their bodies heavily fell to the ground.
Dylan happily went forward to dig out two three-star nuclei, and gleefully put them in his pocket.
"Play again!"
Dylan said to Jodie.
He wanted to see if there were any mutants inside.
The melodious sound of the flute continued to play.
But this time, even after playing for a minute, no mutants came out.
It seems there were none left inside.
"Hannibal, go in and check!"
"Okay!"
Without a word, Hannibal rushed in.
But before long, Hannibal ran out, covered in black!
"Oh my god, boss, there's a fire-breathing peacock inside.
Almost burned me alive!
Looking at Hannibal, whose hair was still smoking, everyone else was shocked.
Only Dylan frowned, realizing that if Hannibal, who had the physique of a hundred-year energy body, was almost burned to a crisp, the mutant peacock inside must be of a high level.
At least it had to be a three-star mutant, and it could breathe fire.
If it were Louise and her people who had gone in, they would probably have been roasted alive.
"Are there any other mutants inside?"
Dylan asked.
"No, just this one left, it's at the very back of the warehouse!""Did you see how many stars were shining on its head?"
"No! I just saw it and then it hit me."
Hannibal shook his head miserably.
Dylan nodded, looking at Hannibal's exposed, red skin burned by the fire.
He called Kelly over and said, "Treat him."
Then he turned to Georgia and said, "Georgia, come with me to check inside, others stay outside on guard!"
Georgia was good at long-range attacks, and in case the peacock took flight, she was the only one who could handle it.
Dylan estimated that the peacock mutant was probably three to four stars. If it were five stars, Hannibal would probably be dead.
Even Louise followed Dylan's orders upon hearing his arrangement.
Now, Dylan had clearly become their leader.
There was no way around it; humans naturally worshiped the strong, only the strong had the authority to speak and command.
Moreover, they also felt that Dylan knew more than them.
Listening to him was the right choice!
And so, Dylan quietly entered the warehouse with Georgia.
Circling past the large truck parked at the entrance, the two saw the scene inside the warehouse.
The warehouse was large, filled with goods all around, but it was hard to tell what they were.
The floor in the middle of the warehouse was messy, scattered with animal and human remains. Some were reduced to mere skeletons.
These mutants not only fed on humans but also killed each other.
Some mutants had higher star ratings because they consumed nuclei.
So, it wasn't surprising.
Looking further ahead, they saw at the end of the warehouse, on the beam above, stood a peacock-like mutant about the size of a sedan.
At this moment, the peacock was staring fiercely at Dylan, its gaze sharp.
When Dylan saw the four points of starlight flashing on its head, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
It was just a four-star mutant, not a threat.
But standing so high, it wasn't convenient for Dylan to kill it.
"Georgia, shoot its eyes!"
"Got it!"
