Chapter 48: Finishing The Fight

The man kept laughing, but his laughter sounded dry and less convincing now.

He looked at the man with the shield in front of him with suspicion.

He had thought his own powers were amazing, but now his heavy weapons felt useless against this guy.

The shield was more than just a shield. It made a guy an unshakable humanoid fortress!

The shield alone couldn't protect everything, but it wasn't just hard. The shield had magical abilities that went beyond science.

First, Captain America's shield always returns to him, no matter where it lands or how it's used. Even if an enemy catches it, they might throw it back, like the Winter Soldier did.

Second, the shield has a special ability: it makes anyone and anything, including humans, monsters, aliens, and machines, want to attack it first.

This "taunting" effect is so strong that it often distracts enemies, allowing Captain America and his team to advance even in tough situations. It's as if the universe itself is making sure the shield is targeted first.

Chu Cheng believed that Captain America's shield deserved a special mention for being the best at blocking attacks. The shield had already taken a lot of damage and proved its worth.

When Captain America blocked the RPG shot and recovered, Chu Cheng didn't waste any time. He quickly moved Captain America forward and attacked the opponent.

The man tried to use another weapon, but it was too late. Captain America's shield smashed into his face, then jabbed him hard in the stomach.

The force was so strong that it sent the man crashing through the wall, where the TV had been, and he landed on the other side with debris.

"Ha...haha...amazing..."

The man was almost out of breath but kept laughing strangely. Chu Cheng admired his dedication but didn't stop.

While the man was still recovering, Captain America rushed in again.

The man, half-kneeling on the ground, stretched out his right hand towards Captain America's punch.

His palm started to change shape in mid-air and quickly transformed into a black, hemispherical shield, blocking Captain America's fist.

Chu Cheng understood what was happening. The man was using a common trick—if you can't win with offense, try defense.

After trying various attacks and realizing they weren't effective, he decided to use a shield.

But this shield was not impressive. Compared to Captain America's famous shield, this one was just a poor imitation.

Captain America didn't change his strategy or avoid the attack. He simply punched the black shield with full force.

Captain America's fists slammed into the shield with such force that it felt like a massive flood crashing against a dam.

The black shield buckled inward at the point of impact, and the force transferred to the arm of the man holding the shield. His arm cracked and was badly injured.

The man was thrown back with his shield, his smile disappearing as his eyes widened in shock.

Before he could react, Captain America stepped forward, leaped into the air, and kicked the man hard in the chest. The powerful kick caused his internal organs to shift, sending him flying across the room and crashing into the window.

The glass shattered with a loud crash, and the cracks spread out like spider webs, making the window look like it might fall apart any second.

Chu Cheng aimed carefully and used his shield to push forward. A flying shield hit the smiling man in the head, making him lean back and smash the glass behind him. The man fell from the sixth floor, leaving a trail of blood.

With such powerful moves, the man almost seemed like a monster.

Felix, even though he was on the enemy's side, felt it wasn't easy for the smiling man to endure. At first, the man's creepy smile and crazy laughter were terrifying, but now his breathless laughter seemed strangely inspiring.

A wise person once said that if you think the challenge is too tough, it's because you haven't tried hard enough. This simple idea means that great effort can lead to amazing results.

Captain America is not as strong as some of the other Avengers. He doesn't have the same power as the big green guy in his underwear or the man with the thunder hammer. Instead, Captain America's main role is to lead the team.

But superhero stories, whether in movies, anime, or comics, can be quite unrealistic. The power of superheroes can change depending on the story or the mood of the scene.

Iron Man is different because his abilities are based on technology, which doesn't change as much. His gadgets and armor are built with advanced science, even if they sometimes seem magical. And when needed, his tech can be powerful enough to take on even the biggest threats.

Captain America, with his supersoldier strength, has varying power levels, which could be very high, depending on the story. In the right conditions, he could even fight powerful enemies like Thanos.

Right now, the smiling man was struggling to get up from the sidewalk. Falling from the sixth floor was tough, even for someone like him.

Despite being soaked in blood and having fallen hard onto the concrete, the man managed to stand up.

His body was healing itself, but it looked strange—his bones and joints were twisted, making him look like a bizarre creature.

His bones slowly went back into place, and he used his hands to help himself stand. He was still shaky as his body repaired itself.

He let out a couple of eerie laughs, but they turned into weird choking coughs because of his own blood.

Before the strange creature could fully get up, a shadow fell from above, accompanied by a loud whoosh. A shield slammed into the man's head, driving him back to the ground with a bang. The impact shattered the floor tiles and the man's head exploded like a watermelon.

At the window on the sixth floor, Felix stood stunned. His face showed pure shock. Did this person just jump down from the sixth floor?
