Chapter 138: Batman's New Moves

Leng Ji had found Batman's high-tech armor a bit strange at first, but after a few minutes of intense fighting that left him feeling confused and scared, he was truly terrified.

*What am I fighting against!?*

---

A few minutes earlier...

The reason Leng Ji had to avoid Batman's attacks last time was because sneaky tactics and surprise moves were more Batman's style and more effective. Plus, it was a disadvantage to fight him head-on.

But things were different this time.

Even with the armor's strength and speed, Batman was pushing Leng Ji to his limits. Leng Ji's fighting skills were impressive, and he would be a top fighter in the DC universe. But compared to Batman, who was almost the top fighter there, Leng Ji had a tough battle.

Batman's armor gave him six times the normal reaction speed, and combined with his master-level fighting skills, he could react to Leng Ji's moves much quicker and deliver counterattacks more effectively. And most importantly, his punches hurt more.

After several rounds, Leng Ji's face was swollen, and his body was numb from both fear and pain.

The agents watching were stunned this fight was beyond anything they had ever seen, with amazing moves like spinning kicks and flips that seemed almost impossible.

Had Batman learned some kind of magical skill recently? Was it given to him by some fairy?

The nonstop attacks left Leng Ji barely able to catch his breath. He tried to punch to buy some time, but Batman hit him with a powerful backhand blow, causing him to lose his balance.

Leng Ji had to step awkwardly to stabilize himself, making his movements even more vulnerable. Any small mistake in a fight at this level could decide the outcome.

Batman didn't waste the opportunity; he grabbed Leng Ji's arm and performed an impressive throw, slamming him hard onto the ground.

Before Leng Ji could recover, Batman kicked him in the side with powerful force, sending him flying into the air. As Leng Ji tried to adjust and prepare for a counterattack, Batman quickly pulled out his gun and shot at him.

The fibers in Batman's armor tightened, pulling Leng Ji back in mid-air, and Batman landed a powerful punch. This punch broke through the armor's faceplate, causing sparks and making Leng Ji spit out blood as he was thrown back again.

The agents were in shock. Was this combo even humanly possible?

The agents knew some fighting, but the display they were witnessing was beyond anything they'd ever imagined. Batman's moves seemed unexplainable, like something out of a fighting game rather than any real martial arts.

Batman's fighting style was more like a character from a video game, with skills and strength that seemed beyond human.

Chu Cheng was thrilled with how Batman's new suit performed. The smooth, powerful combos, combined with electric effects, made for an incredible experience in action games, something he'd never felt before.

But to achieve such combos, a suitable opponent was necessary. If Leng Ji's defense were weaker or his health lower, the fight would have been over quickly.

So having an opponent like Leng Ji, who could keep taking hits, was ideal for testing Batman's new armor.

After taking a beating, Leng Ji realized Batman's fists were stronger than his own head.

As his health was nearly depleted, Leng Ji decided to stop fighting head-on and try a trick. He used his tentacles to trap Batman, hoping to control him.

His trick worked. Batman, who had been half-kneeling, caught the tentacles with one arm and took out a gadget from his utility belt with the other. This caused Leng Ji to feel a sense of dread.

In the next moment, Batman fired a blue laser from the device in his hand. The beam sliced through the air like a lightsaber.

The laser left a scorched mark on the ground, and the two thick tentacles it touched immediately withered. A burnt smell filled the air as the tentacles were cut clean in half.

Leng Ji was stunned. "What is this?"

The agents were just as shocked.

"What kind of equipment is this? A lightsaber? A Jedi weapon?"

But it wasn't quite right to call it that. Even though Batman made a motion similar to wielding a lightsaber, it was actually a laser emitter.

This plasma laser was powerful enough to cut through thick steel plates instantly, similar to the high-tech laser weapon Stark designed for Iron Man in the movies.

In the world of superheroes, Stark's tech often focuses on flashy gadgets, while Batman's gadgets, like this one, are more stealthy and practical. His gear often includes features from other heroes, showing his knack for incorporating and improving on others' technology.

This portable laser weapon seemed ahead of its time, especially on this planet, where such advanced tech is rare. Batman's gadgets, which often look like a mix of technology and magic, have always been impressive. But what was even more amazing today was Batman's superhuman strength.

After cutting off the tentacles, Batman closed in for hand-to-hand combat. In a few swift moves, he took advantage of a big opening in Leng Ji's defense and delivered a powerful punch to his forehead.

Leng Ji stumbled back, clearly off balance. Batman advanced, aiming a powerful punch at his face. But Leng Ji, pretending to be vulnerable, used this as a trap. As Batman moved in, another tentacle shot out from behind, heading straight for Batman's face.

The tentacle was so fast and unpredictable that even with Batman's enhanced reflexes, it was nearly impossible to avoid.

It was Leng Ji's desperate final attack, meant to be a guaranteed hit!

And then, everyone watched in shock as the tentacle struck Batman's face.

And went straight through him.
