Dungeon Raid-4

Arun didnt know what he should do. He was standing before two wolves with pitch-black fur, who were standing with his sword by their feet. Those wolves were growling and snaring at him and were ready to attack at any moment. While there he was, standing with a shield in his hands, not knowing what he was supposed to do now.

The main problem with fighting is the invulnerability of those wolves. They were somehow able to make the arrows pass through them as if they were an illusion. But when the wolf attacked me, they somehow became real again.

He didnt know what was the secret of the wolves, but he knew that he was going to find out soon enough. The only good thing about his current situation was the fact that the female goblin was still standing on the side of the cave, keeping an eye on them. She had not moved.

Only god knows, what he would have done if she had made her move as well. He didnt know what he would be able to handle…

Arun then immediately sent his shield away and took his bow and arrow. One of the wolves attacked him straight away, it came to him brandishing its teeth, and jumped to tackle him down. And the wolf was successful at his attack as well.

To save his butt, he brought his bow forward and let the thing chew on it. But the tackle by the wolf did make him lose balance and fall to the ground, with the wolf now on his chest.

The wolf started moving its head right and left, trying to tear the bow and get to him as soon as it could. And it was then he felt something biting his boots, the other wolf had started playing with his legs. Soon he started feeling the second wolf's teeth bore into his flesh. He tried pushing the second wolf away with his free leg, but somehow he was not able to, it was like his leg was not hitting the wolf.

I would die, if I dont something here.

Purely on his instincts, he started wriggling his bow left and right, and then with one final push, he was able to get the first wolf out of his chest, and onto the ground beside him. It was then he sent the bow inside, took his survival knife, and then plunged it into the wolf. To his horror, his knife and hand went through the wolf.

The second wolf started pulling him, and then the first wolf came back to his senses and attacked him once again. This time he used his bracers to absorb the attack. To his surprise, his bracers, which were supposed to be just common leather bracers became rock solid in the time of need. He tried to attack the wolf who had his bracers in his mouth again, but just like before, the attack went through.

"Fuck these magical wolves!" he yelled. But then something clicked in his mind. He immediately took out his trusted ax.

He didnt like to use the thing because it consumes a lot of mana. But now that he was dealing with magical wolves, something inside of him told him that this axe might be able to counter the magic of these wolves with his mana. As soon as he took out his axe, that thing started sucking on his mana crazily.

The axe itself was very heavy, and with his best effort, he swung the axe towards the wolf chewing on his bracers, to his surprise the axe was able to cut the wolf, he felt it. The crazy thing was that he didnt make a big cut, yet the wolf let go of his bracers and jumped back. And seeing which the second wolf also backed away.

Immediately he collected himself and jumped on his non-injured feet. The wolves had also made a distance from him.

Look at those fuckers.. They are afraid of me? The way the wolves were acting, it seemed possible. Through the corner of his eye, he looked at the goblin which, who was still standing on the other side of the pond. She had not moved.

Wait… Think about it. The one who got injured, and the wolf that let go of my leg… They let go at the same time. As if they were able to feel the same pain…

Arun might know nothing about mana or magic, but it from what he had seen, he felt that the wolves were connected to each other. And as he thought more about it, his theory made more sense as they both came out same shadow.

But the faith didnt give more time to think. He soon saw the wolves had started advancing towards him. Seeing this, he smiled and tightened his grip on his weapon. The only good thing was that he had started to get the hang of his mana. Which came in handy while using the axe. If he doesn't control his mana, then the axe would suck in everything that was inside him, leaving him with nothing.

As one of the wolves jumped on him like before, this time he used his mana and strength to attack the wolf. His axe made it through half of its skull before getting stuck. But the good thing was, as the wolf died, it vanished into nothingness. When the second wolf attacked him, he jumped to his right narrowly avoiding the attack.

By the time he was able to stand up straight, the wolf was almost at him.

The wolf pierced its canines at his shoulder, making him squeal with pain. But in no way in hell, he was letting the wolf go away, he had his axe in his hands. He immediately struck the wolf, making it let go of his shoulder. As the wolf fell on the floor, instantly he attacked the thing, killing it once again with one blow.

After taking care of the wolf, he turned towards the goblin, who seemed to be on her feet. Seeing this, he didnt waste any time. He immediately took his staff, and using his skill he sent a torrent of water toward her, making her fall into the pond. After that, it was almost too easy to kill her, after all, he just had to make sure that she wouldn't be able to come to the surface to catch her breath….
