The Black Island-2

Forbidden Island was as spooky as it appears to be. Its soil was black as night, it was as dry as a desert, which was very surprising as it was surrounded by water from all sides. The place was a ghost town, no animal, bug, or tree was in sight. It was like no civilization had ever lived in this place. Curious about the place, Arun ventured deeper into the island.

After half an hour, he saw something in the distance. Curious, he took his telescope and saw some ruins in the distance. Along with the ruins, a gigantic structure surprised him to his core.

Is that… a pyramid?

He double-checked, and the gigantic structure looked like a pyramid. Although he was curious about the structure, at the same time he became very happy seeing that structure. I might be right. This place might hold the key that I had been looking for.

With renewed enthusiasm, he started running towards the ruins in full speed…

That is.. Surprising, he thought as saw the pitch-black flower in the ruins.

He recognized the thing, as it was the key ingredient of the black Poison cookbook that he bought recently. The flower is called Death Flower, and it is only found in the Hills of Omeron also called Omeron's Nest. He was disheartened when he realized that he would not be able to make more poison, but seeing the flower here, he was quite surprised.

Why the fuck is this flower here? According to the cookbook, the flower only grows in the territory of Omeron.. Wait, does it mean that I might find that dragon here? He looked around, wondering whether it was a bad idea to come to this place.

From what it looked like, the ruins were of a small settlement around the pyramids. The houses were made of bricks and still looked quite sturdy. The vines of the Death Flower had taken root and spread all across all the ruins like a spider web, making the place feel more ominous than before. But as he ventured further in, he started seeing signs which told him that there was someone else here on the island.

One particular structure, near the entrance of the pyramid, had its vines split apart from the walls and was thrown by the side. This particular structure had a roof, and its entrance was blocked by a big wooden plank. Exercising extreme caution, he removed the plank to come across a smoke room. Charcoals of burned fire were all around the floor of the structure, and there were pieces of meat hung all around the place.

This is someone's smoke room. The meat looks fresh… This is not that old.

He then closed the structure and looked around. He came across one single tent, and in front of it was a giant pit of fire, which looked like a BBQ pit.

Alright, there was someone definitely staying in the place. The next thing that got his attention was the small patch of ground beside the tent. There was a circular structure on the ground. The center of the structure was brown, while the brown structure was surrounded by a thick plate, which was etched with Runic Symbols all around the metal plate. There was a simple small lever beside the circular structure as well.

Curious, he went to the lever and pulled it. Something was shot out of the brown circular patch in the air. He looked up and saw something falling on him, he caught the object, only to find the object to be a glass bottle. More specifically a chilled Rum bottle.

So this place is someone's hang-out place. At the same time, he was curious about the frost that he could feel on the bottle. He could make good use of such a refrigeration technique if he could get his hands on it.

He looked into the tent, it had everything that a person would need to survive in the place. From the singular bed in the place, along with some other items, he deduced that maybe only one person was living in the place. But as the person was not around, he didnt care for it and moved towards his goal, the pyramid.

The main entrance of the large structure was these large rock doors, he figured that they might be like the Dungeon doors. So he put his hands on them, and sure enough the door swung open with a loud banging noise.

It was dark inside. So he borrowed a torch from the tent, ignited it, and went inside.

Arun had a feeling that he might be walking into some sort of trap, which is why he had his guard up. With a sword in his hand and the torch in another, he moved along the dark corridor that he found himself in. It wasn't a long walk, and soon he found himself in a chamber of sorts. Due to the darkness, it was difficult for him to make out any details of the place, but he could feel that the chamber was very big. It didnt feel as cramped as the hallway.

Is that… what the hell is that?

There was this smell in the air, and he didnt know to whom it belonged. But with his torch, and looking around, he found a gutter line by the entrance of the chamber. The smell was coming from the gutter line. Under the light of the torch, he looked at the black liquid in there, trying to understand what it was. It was then a spark from the torch fell into the gutter and ignited the liquid.

The sudden ignition startled him, but it did him a favor. That small gutter line was spread all across the chamber, and with ignition from one end, he soon found himself standing in a well-lit chamber. And the thing that the pyramid was hiding lay before his eyes, making him gulp some saliva. It was a very terrifying scene before him…
