United?

Cassie pressed her foot down on the accelerator, feeling the car lurch forward as the speedometer climbed higher and higher. The wind whipped through her hair, drowning out the sound of Savannah's voice as she demanded they get home as quickly as possible. Cassie could feel the urgency in her friend's tone, but she didn't need an explanation. The way Savannah's hands were shaking on the dashboard spoke volumes.

The highway stretched out before them like an endless ribbon of asphalt, illuminated only by the headlights of passing cars. The darkness pressed in on them from all sides, and Cassie's heart pounded in her chest as she tried to keep her focus on the road ahead. She was driving at a breakneck speed, weaving in and out of lanes with a reckless abandon that would make any sane person nervous.

But Cassie was no ordinary person. She was a driver, a thrill-seeker, and nothing could match the adrenaline rush she felt when she was behind the wheel. It was like flying, like soaring through the air with nothing but the wind to guide her. And tonight, she was flying faster than she ever had before.

Finally, they arrived at Savannah's apartment building, and Cassie brought the car screeching to a halt in the parking lot. They both jumped out of the vehicle and sprinted towards the entrance, their footsteps echoing in the empty hallways. Savannah fumbled with her keys, trying to get the door open as quickly as possible, and Cassie could feel the tension building inside of her with each passing moment.

When they finally burst into the apartment, the first thing Cassie noticed was how clean it was. The air smelled of bleach and fresh laundry, and every surface gleamed in the moonlight that filtered in through the window. It was different from the last time she was here. The second thing she noticed was the people in the room.

Isabelle and Camille were sitting on the couch, their faces drawn and tense. Camille was wearing a stunning red gown that contrasted starkly with the muted tones of the room, and her eyes darted nervously around the space. A rather polar opposite of the character she initially displayed. Isabelle was looking down at her lap, her hands clasped tightly together. They looked up when Savannah and Cassie entered the room, and their expressions softened slightly.

Standing by the window was a tall, dark-haired man who Savannah immediately recognized as Ethan. He had been the one who killed Jefferson, Savannah's boyfriend and now he was standing in her living room as if he belonged there. She felt her fists clench at her sides as she took in his expressionless face.

But the most alarming presence in the room was Seth. Savannah's brother, who had always been distant and enigmatic, was now leaning against the wall in the shadows, his eyes fixed on nothing in particular. Cassie had always felt a sense of unease around him, and now that feeling had only grown stronger.

The room was quiet except for the sound of their ragged breathing as they caught their breath from the run up the stairs. Cassie could feel the tension building in the air, thick and heavy like a storm cloud about to burst. She looked around at the faces of the people in the room, searching for some clue as to what was going on.

"What's going on?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

No one answered. They all just stood there, staring at each other in silence.

Finally, Savannah spoke up, her voice trembling slightly. "Izzy locked the door from the inside. I ordered she do it. Isabelle. why did you let them in?"

"I didn't." Izzy finally spoke up. "They came in through the window.

"My God. Why can't you guys behave like normal human beings?" Savannah said, furious at the Savagery of her siblings.

"The offer still stands Savvy. The painting needs be stolen. It's worth its' weight in gold. Literally." Ethan said, finally turning to face Savannah and others in the room.

"That isn't enough reason for me to let you be without having to punch your fucking face off." Savannah said, highly infuriated.

Camille sensed the tension in the room rising between Savannah and Ethan. It was a familiar sight to her, the two had been at each other's throats for as long as she could remember. However, this time it was different. There was a palpable sense of danger in the air, something that Camille had never felt before.

Savannah's eyes were filled with rage, and she seemed ready to pounce on Ethan at any moment. Camille tried to diffuse the situation by asking Savannah about her plans for the next day. "Are you ready for tomorrow? Going to the airport?" she asked, hoping to distract Savannah from her anger.

Savannah answered, but her eyes never left Ethan's. He stood there, a smug smile on his face, seemingly enjoying the tension he was causing. Camille could see that this wasn't just a normal argument between siblings, there was something more going on here.

Meanwhile, Seth remained hidden in the shadows, watching silently. Cassie, who had just arrived, didn't even notice him at first, assuming he was just another one of Savannah's many siblings. She was too busy staring at Ethan, who she found surprisingly handsome, despite the tense atmosphere in the room.

Ethan noticed Cassie's gaze and asked Savannah, "Is this the lady beside you, Cassie?" Savannah replied with a curt "yes", but her attention remained fixed on Ethan, her anger barely contained.

Ethan waved at Cassie and introduced himself, causing her to stutter out her name. "My name is Ethan," he said, flashing her a grin that made her cheeks turn red. "Cassidy Gifford," she managed to say, trying to regain her composure.

Savannah, still seething with anger, noticed Cassie's reaction to Ethan and told her to snap out of it. "That's how all the boys in my family are," she said, trying to dismiss the situation. Cassie apologized, embarrassed by her reaction, but couldn't help stealing a few more glances at Ethan.

As they continued to talk, Seth emerged from the shadows, moving towards Camille. The room fell silent as they all watched him, uncertain of what he was going to do.

It was at this moment that Cassie finally got a full glimpse of Seth. He was tall and lean, with chiseled features and piercing blue eyes. His dark hair fell in loose waves around his face, and his smile was so disarmingly charming that she couldn't help but feel drawn to him.

Savannah was surprised to see Seth there, and asked him what he was doing in her apartment. He simply shrugged and said, "I was just passing through." But there was something in his tone that made Savannah uneasy.

Camille, who had known Seth for years, could sense that something was off. He was always charming, but there was a hint of darkness in his eyes that she had never seen before. She tried to speak to him, but he brushed her off and returned to the shadows.

As the tension in the room continued to mount, Savannah finally exploded. "What the hell is going on here?" she yelled, her anger boiling over. "Why are you all here?"

No one had an answer. They all just stood there, uncertain of what to say. Finally, Ethan spoke up. "We were just hanging out," he said, trying to sound nonchalant.

Savannah didn't believe him. "You don't just show up at someone's apartment uninvited," she said, her voice dripping with venom.

Ethan tried to laugh it off, but it was clear that Savannah was not in the mood for jokes. She took a step towards him, and for a moment he thought Savannah would throw a punch, Until Seth finally spoke up.

"We're hear to bring you back home. Olivia suggested that we do so, given that we're all in the same part of the world. it makes for safe journeys."

Cassie was still in shock, still looking at Savannah and her boss from work, Seth. he wasn't dressed In a suit. he was dressed in something else, the first she'd seen.
