Chapter 13: The gang succeeded in kidnapping a baby
As they approached, they noticed people gathered outside, engaged in a lively discussion.
Etim and his gangs parked their cars beside the house and stormed in, firing shots into the air to intimidate the crowd and force them into submission.
All the people outside knew down and bow their head to the ground.
Etim, Handy and Samba entered into the house while the remaining gang members remain outside pointing their guns to the people bowing down.
Etim and Handy opened the door of Mr and Mrs Sam sitting room but the door was locked.
A woman among the guest had went to luck the door when she heard the gun shot.
Then Etim raised his voice and said, "open this door or else I break the door and kill everyone of you."
Mr Sam was in the bedroom with the first child while Mrs Sam and her visitors were in the sitting room.
When they heard the voice of Etim they were all afraid and the woman that lucked up the door went to unlock it back.
Then Etim and two gang members entered.
Mrs Sam and her guest saw weapons and bow their head to the ground. They were all afraid.
"For the stress you have stress us. I will kill you all."
"Please sir don't kill us sir," one of the guess said.
"Shut up your mouth did I tell you to talk?"
"No sir."
"Good, don't talk until I ask you questions."
"I saw only one child, where is your second child?"
"My sister have carried him out."
"To where?"
"To buy some babies cloth."
"You liers."
"We are honest God is out witness."
"Ok," said Etim.
And Samba went to carried the baby that was layed on the chair.
"Please I beg you don't take away the baby." Said Mrs Sam.
Etim answered her with a shot of bullet on the air.
"If you talk again I will shoot you."
Then Etim, Samba and Handy went out of the house.
Moments after the kidnappers had fled, Mr Sam emerged from the bedroom to find his distraught wife, and guests, in the sitting room.
Tears streamed down their faces, and a woman among the guests began swear to the Kidnappers.
"We must call the police," Mr Sam declared. "Does anyone have the police station's number?"
One of the male guests spoke up. "I have the contact of a friend who's a police officer."
"Please, call him," Mr Sam urged.
The man dialed the number, and the police officer answered.
"Hello, sir," the guest began, his voice trembling. "We desperately need your help."
Sensing the urgency, the officer responded, "Tell me what happened."
"Kidnappers attacked us and took my friend's baby..."
The officer, recognizing the gravity of the situation, said, "I'll do everything I can to assist you because of our friendship. Trust me."
"Thank you. We're counting on you," the guest replied.
Then the officer ended the call.
Meanwhile, the police officer and his fellow officers were conducting a routine vehicle check on the main road when he informed them about the call from his friend.
One officer, still shaken from their earlier encounter with the gang, expressed his reluctance to get involved.
"Perhaps your friend should join us in looking for the baby," he suggested. "But remember what happened when we were asked to apprehend those robbers? It's too risky. I won't stop any car with a baby inside."
The officer who had received the call clarified, "I'm not asking you to search for that particular baby. I just wanted to keep you informed."
"Fine," the skeptical officer conceded. "Let's continue with our duties."
As Etim and his gang drove past the police checkpoint, one officer noticed that their car resembled the one used by the robbers they had been tasked with arresting earlier.
He alerted his colleagues, but despite spotting a baby in the car, the officers were too afraid to confront the gang, allowing them to proceed unhindered.
Twenty minutes later, Etim and his gang arrived at their hotel.
They agreed to return to Lagos the next day to deliver the baby to Mr Johnson, their formidable client.

In the middle of the night, Handy was struck by a vivid dream. He found himself driving a car with a bag full of money on the seat beside him.
"Once we split this cash among ourselves, I'll use my share to buy another car and a house." Handy thought to himself.
It was too dark, as Handy was driving with confidence on the main road.
He got to a Junction and saw some ladies who stood at the main road expecting customers to come and pick them to the hotel.
They all dress like a prostitute half necked.
Their presence aroused his desires, and he couldn't help but imagine being intimate with one or two of them Overcome with temptation, Handy pulled over and approached one of them.
"how much will I go to bed with you for three rounds?"
"Three husband thousand naira," the lady replied.
"Ok let's go." And the lady led him to the hotel built beside where they were standing.
They entered the hotel and found themselves in a room. Handy body moved, he can't control himself anymore.
Then both of them hastily discarded their clothes and engaged in passionate sex, going beyond the three rounds Handy had initially proposed.
As they finished and dressed, Handy noticed his car key still in the door upon returning to the vehicle. He realized with a jolt that the bag of money he had left inside was now gone.
Handy's heart raced as he frantically searched the car.
Handy rushed to the booth to retrieve the money he owed the lady but couldn't find it anywhere. Overwhelmed with worry, he frantically searched Inside and under the car he also went to the booth to search and even opened the bonnet, but the money was no where to be found.
The lady approached him, holding him firmly. "After spending hours with me, you're now pretending you've lost the money you owe me? Look into my eyes; I won't let you go until you pay me," she demanded.
"Stop it! Why are you acting like this? I'm not pretending, I swear. I left my money in the car, and now it's gone," Handy pleaded.
